Hunker Down with Wildlife<br />
Sunday, December 7th from 4:30pm - 8:00pm<br />
The cold has settled in, and while we’re warmly tucked in our<br />
sleeping bags, wildlife use their adaptations to survive the cold! Bring<br />
your sleeping bags and favorite stuffed animal friends to join CFW<br />
educators and ambassadors in the Learning Lodge to learn about<br />
the different adaptations our wild animals use during the winter.<br />
Following the program, stick around for an almost “sleepover”<br />
movie screening with popcorn and pizza. (The lodge is NOT heated,<br />
so please dress warm!) Open to all ages; $7 suggested donation.<br />
Winter Wildlife Shenanigans<br />
Monday, January 5th from 5:30pm – 8:00pm<br />
There’s a full wolf moon tonight, a time when many wildlife are<br />
restless and on the move! Join CFW educators and nocturnal<br />
ambassadors inside the Learning Lodge to learn about the different<br />
critters running around at night. We’ll learn about their adaptations,<br />
natural history, and then head out to explore the trails in the<br />
moonlight to see who is out and about! Hike is recommended for<br />
ages 10+; $7 suggested donation.<br />
Great Maine Outdoor Weekend<br />
Fri - Sun, February 13th-<strong>15</strong>th, times TBA<br />
Celebrate being active outside in Maine by connecting friends and<br />
neighbors w outdoors at Mt. A and take advantage of several offered<br />
events and programs with Mount A, Center for Wildlife, and White<br />
Pine Programs. Activities will include:<br />

Springtime Surprises<br />
Sunday, March 29th, time TBA<br />
Spring is a time for bringing new life into the world. Join us for a<br />
presentation of a variety of baby animals with the Center for Wildlife<br />
and enjoy everything spring time in nature has to offer. There will be<br />
many outdoor opportunities for all ages to discover the wonders of the<br />
season: trail treasure search, Easter egg hunt, Storywalk, photos with<br />
the Easter bunny, prizes, and more. Come dressed for the weather<br />
and bring your own basket or bag. Stay tuned for more details!<br />
Nature’s Nesters Sunday, April 12th from 10:00am-12:00pm<br />
After a long winter, our wildlife are already preparing for nesting<br />
season! Many of our native wildlife species will utilize nesting<br />
boxes during the spring and summer to raise their young. Join CFW<br />
educators and ambassadors in the Learning Lodge to learn about<br />
local nesting wildlife, how they prepare for nesting season, and what<br />
to look out for in your own backyard. Following the presentation,<br />
Mount A and CFW staff will lead a bat box building workshop, and<br />
bring your used bat and bird nest boxes to do some spring cleaning<br />
and prepare them for a new season! Program is open to all ages; $5<br />
suggested donation; Bat Box workshop has added fee.<br />
Spring Bird Walk Sunday, May 17th from 9:30am-12:00pm<br />
Many of our birds have already jumped into nesting season and we’re<br />
hearing their calls throughout the woods. Join CFW educators and<br />
ambassadors to learn about native birds and how to identify them<br />
in the wild, go on a quick tour of our baby bird room, then hike up to<br />
the summit of Mount Agamenticus to listen for these species in the<br />
wild! Hike is recommended for ages 10+; $7 suggested donation.<br />
