Golf Canada Summer Internship Program Golf Canada is seeking applicants for the following summer internships (APPLY TO ONE POSITION ONLY); Information Technology Intern (1 position) – April to August Provide user support in-person, through email and phone, and via remote desktop Maintain proper record of support through helpdesk ticketing system Diagnose and repair printer problems and ensure printer supplies are available to staff Imaging of reused desktops and laptops Proactive support of network services through monitoring software Set up new users with phone extensions Inventory hardware and software through inventory tracking system and internal wiki Support projects of the IT department as required Assist with server and web administration Research hardware and software for proposed solutions Run Ethernet and other computer cabling Ticket Sales Representatives – May to July Out-bound calls to 2015 RBC Canadian Open ticket buyers to sell/promote 2016 RBC Canadian Open tickets. Calls may also include contacts to other Greater Toronto Area businesses. Servicing and up-selling existing group accounts as well as generating new group leads. Handle incoming sales calls in a positive and effective manner while recognizing new business, corporate and up-sell opportunities. Direct marketing sales experience 1-2 years (telemarketing) an asset Sales Centre Intern (3 positions) – May to August Responsible for receiving, processing and packaging orders for the RBC Canadian Open, Canadian Pacific Women’s Open, other Golf Canada Programs Responsible for ongoing ticket reconciliation Assist with processing and packaging of Golf Canada E-store orders Work with Business Development division to manage sponsor ticket distribution for both championships Customer service experience an asset Some weekends required Tournament Operations, Traveling Interns – May to August Required to travel extensively throughout Canada during the summer months Work approximately 6-7 tournaments Typical day begins 5-6 am and ends between 8-10pm 7 days a week, including weekends and holidays Must be able to drive the equipment truck and trailer (for up to 8 hours daily) to various championship sites across Canada Help conduct Future Links Championships and Golf Canada Amateur Championships Assist Championship Division with events (i.e. RBC Canadian Open) Qualified candidates will have strong public speaking ability, clean driving record, etc. Click here to see the full posting.
