WELCOME

How Atomic Learning is Different:

In the past you may have known Atomic Learning as on online how-to technology training provider.

And, while that is still a key element of what we provide, you will be surprised to learn about all

the exciting ways Atomic Learning can help administrators, teachers, staff, students, and parents

experience learning and move forward. Beyond software training, we help address a range of topics

with online learning resources focused on adapting to changing instructional practices, preparing

learners with critical life and workplace skills, engaging and preparing students for success in

college and beyond, leveraging technology to improve the learning experience, and much more!

Over the past few years, we have devoted both resources and time to reshape how

we deliver our learning experience. We are thrilled to share with you that our learning

modules are now delivered through an outcome based learning model referred to as the

Hoonuit Online Learning Framework, allowing for a personalized, self-paced active

learning experience. This shift in delivery can profoundly impact both transfer rate to

instruction and ultimately student engagement and success.

HOW CAN TEACHERS USE THIS MODEL?

New teachers may be interested in learning best practices for classroom management,

while veteran teachers may want to explore new ways of engaging students in the

learning experience. Some examples include flipping the classroom, digital storytelling,

or project based learning using Minecraft. No matter where teachers are at in their

tenure, there are resources available to meet their specific needs and interests. Just as

we look to differentiate learning for our students, teacher professional development

cannot be a one size fits all approach.

Professional Development

Ideas to help teachers and staff get started:

• Provide personalized, self-paced learning around critical topics

• Facilitate a flipped PLC model

• Support flipped workshops

• Map learning resources to key initiatives

• Tie into CEU/PLU documentation

• Align to classroom observations

• Encourage teachers and staff to integrate into the classroom by applying the DoIt

• Enhance communication and engagement with parents

STRATEGIES FOR USE:

Promotional campaigns using prizes or swag are great for short term gains, but the best way to have

sustainable and long term success is to provide relevancy. This can be done through a number of ways:

1. Support your district's goals

Align Atomic Learning resources to key

initiatives to ensure district-wide success.

2. Align to professional

development standards

By providing credits to teachers for

completing specific modules, Atomic

Learning becomes an integral resource.

3. Recognition

Give a shout out to those that are

champions of the new learning model.

Most people like badges, certifications,

etc. - something they can share to show

their accomplishments.

4. Reach teachers & students

where they are at

On average we see a 40% increase in

utilization when an Atomic Learning

partner adds LTI capabilities in their (LMS).

5. Broaden reach & create awareness

Please introduce us to other areas and

departments throughout your district.

You don’t need to do all the work of

spreading the word yourself, we are

happy to help! By sharing awareness

of these resources, you can help

support the needs and goals of other

departments, while maximizing your

return on investment.

6. Frequent & relevant communication

We will collaborate with key contacts

during monthly virtual meetings, as well

as connect with additional contacts on

a quarterly basis. Each meeting will

focus on developing strategies to ensure

the needs of the district are being met,

discussing what’s working, and areas for

further growth.

7. Ensure optimum access

This can be done via remote

authentication and preferably a

single-sign-on option, to provide the

easiest means for learners to access the

online learning system.
