The Padmashali Udyogula Sangam once
again proved that the Unity is Strength by
making a grand success of the 2nd Vivaha
Parichaya Vedhika held on 11-12-2016 at
BC Netha Hostel, Hunter Road, Warangal.
It was very happy moments for the
overwhelming response from our beloved
kulabhandhavulu who thronged more than
300 to the programme and 51 new registrations
were registered from different districts
of Telangana. The programme was presided
over by Sri Eaga Venkateshwarlu, its
President while S/Sri Manthri Sathees,
Associate President, Kodam Ravi Prakash,
Genl.Secy., Adepu Mallikarjun, Treasurer
and the Marriage Bureau Convener,
Sri Naveen Raj Kumar and Co-Conveners,
Eaga Mallikarjun, Kyatham Anand,
Siripuram Sheker, Kondabathini Rajamouli

- An eminent artist of Mimicry
Sunkanapalli Rajkumar, popularly known as
‘Navvula Rajkumar’ also ‘Rajaiah Mama’ has been enthralling
and impressing the audience of Telugu States
with his estimable mimicry. His performances at various
places entertained many including Sri Sri Chinna Jeeyar
Swamiji and Sri Sri Ganapathi Sachchidananda Swamiji.
His specialty is blending the art of mimicry with acting.
Rajkumar was born in a lower-middle-class family to Sri
Venkataiah and Smt Komuramma in Shivanagar, Warangal
city (Telangana State) on the Republic Day in 1966.
Though he was flouted by his peers for his physical disability
since his childhood, challenged the society, craved
to be unique, selected the Mimicry as his passion, started
practicing imitation of various voices, performed on
stage, public meetings, functions since 1982 and quickly
carved a niche for himself as a popular mimicry artist
with his new and bold experiments in mimicry.
His continuous and strenuous efforts in the field
of mimicry impressed Dr.Nerella Venumadhav, Father of
Indian Mimicry, got an opportunity to learn more and
improved his skills soon after becoming a favorite
disciple of Dr. Venumadhav.
His debut performance was at AVV School,
Warangal in 1982 with the guidance and choicest
blessings of Dr.Nerella Venumadhav.
Later, his performance in a cultural program
organized on the occasion of the ‘42nd Physically Chal-
lenged Day’ in Thyagaraya Gana Sabha
Auditorium in Hyderabad was cheered by one
and all. He was awarded for his excellence by the
then Governor of AP, Her Excellency
Smt.Kumudben Joshi, in 1986.
He graduated in 'Bachelor of Arts' from
Viveka Vardhini College of Osmania University in
1990, completed MA from Kakatiya University
and also B.Ed. He also has to his credit a
Diploma in Film Acting from Devedas Kanakala
Acting School, Hyderabad, during the period
1987-1990.
He also proved himself as an actor by
acting in many TV daily Serials like, Jataka
Katalu, Raji Bujji, Ruthuragalu, Vasantha Kokila,

Bhasha Sangam (Jagtial) in 2012 and also
awarded as ‘Hasya Shilpi’.
He has also been working as Casual Announcer
in All India Radio since1993 and he is well
known as ‘Rajaiah Mama’ in the radio programmes.
Presently working as CJL in Civics in Govt. Junior
College, Hanamkonda since 2007.

Vichitram, Ammayi Kosam with the help of Sri
Devadas Kanakala who was an ex-Chairman, Film &
Television of AP and Smt.Lakshmi Kanakala.
Performance-based interviews with him were
also telecast on Doordarshan in 1995 and in ETV in
2002. His unique innovative performance on
‘Navvullo Rakalu’ in World Telugu Mahasabhalu held
in 1996 won accolades from the delegates.
The ‘Diploma in Mimicry’ was introduced in Potti
Sriramulu Telugu University in 1997 and recognising
his talent in mimicry, he was given an opportunity as
the Lecturer in Mimicry and was the course writer
too.
Later, the same course was introduced in Kakatiya
University through distant mode in 2006, for
which he wrote a book entitled ‘Dhwanyanukarana
Shastram’ in Telugu, and also worked as Course Coordinator/Counsellor
at SDLCE, Kakatiya University
from 2002 to 2006. Later, the same book was published
by him as the ‘Science of Mimicry’ in 2015
which has become the Bible for the practitioners of
mimicry and the mimicry aspirants as well.
In 2007, he produced a Sound film on the life
story of Sri Ganapathi Sachchithananda Swamiji and
got the blessings and a cash reward of Rs.1,00,000/
- from the Swamiji.
He was also honoured with ‘Best Mimicry
Artist Award’ with a cash prize of Rs.5,116/- at
Warangal district level on the occasion of Telangana
State Formation Day in 2015 for his exemplary talent
in mimicry. He was also honoured with the award of
‘Hasya Kala Vachaspathi’ award from Telangana

Rajkumar has adopted a unique feat in the mimicry with
‘32 kinds of laughs’ and he can make audience laugh with the
items like Shabda, Chesta, Bhagavatha including the music of
Punjabi taal, Bhavan taal. Eventually, he accomplished his
dream as a renowned Mimicry artist in Telangana. Padmashali
Udyogula Sangam heartfully congratulates and wish him more
success in his future endeavors.
