The <strong>Central</strong> <strong>Valley</strong> Corvette Club was<br />

chartered in 1991 for the owners of the only<br />

real AMERICAN sports car, the awesome<br />

CORVETTE. It's a social organization with<br />

activities that provide enjoyment for the true<br />

Corvette lover.<br />

Club activities include monthly meetings,<br />

car shows, weekend Club activities,<br />

Eligibility for membership in CVC is<br />

defined in Article III, section 1 of the<br />

bylaws in part as follows: "Membership in<br />

<strong>Central</strong> <strong>Valley</strong> <strong>Corvettes</strong> shall be open to all<br />

Corvette owners who are sponsored by a<br />

member in good standing. Additionally, a<br />

prospective member must, within a three<br />

month period , attend two consecutive<br />

meetings, participate in two club sanctioned<br />

social activities, pay current membership<br />

dues and initiation fees, and be approved by<br />

two- thirds vote of membership present at<br />

any general membership meeting by secret<br />

ballot<br />

Sponsors shall be responsible for advising<br />

prospective member of results. All members<br />

must submit proof of personal insurance in<br />

accordance with California State Law upon<br />

application for membership, and all<br />

members must be a member of the<br />

association providing club liability insurance<br />

for CENTRAL VALLEY CORVETTES.<br />

A prospective member who does not have a<br />

sponsor will be provided one by the<br />

membership committee. Non-members may<br />

not participate in more than three meetings<br />

or two sanctioned activities.<br />

CVC membership dues are $67.00 plus an<br />

initiation fee of $35.00. Membership entitles<br />

two members at the same address voting<br />

privileges at meetings (provided they are in<br />

good standing) and membership rights.<br />

Hi Fellow Corvetter’s,<br />

Here we go again. Starting off with<br />

the football party Feb. 5th it should be<br />

a fun time. Looks like there will be a lot<br />

of runs to choose from. So get your cars<br />

ready to go. We had a great general<br />

meeting. Thanks Mike & Lynne for a<br />

great job with the raffle. The<br />

Wednesday shows makes a great get<br />

together thanks to Charlie.<br />

It is up to you guys to make it happen.<br />

And it looks like you are doing just that.<br />

General Meeting Minutes<br />

January 17, <strong>2017</strong><br />

The General Meeting was called to order by<br />

President Andy Anderson at 6:30pm. Minutes<br />

from the December meeting were read by<br />

Secretary, Terry Johnson. There was one<br />

correction. The Board meeting was Monday,<br />

January 2, <strong>2017</strong>. Tom Jarvis made a motion to<br />

accept the minuets with the correction. The<br />

motion was seconded by Ruth Danielsen.<br />

Treasurer Dick Johnson gave the Treasurer’s<br />

report. Bills for the SLO run and the Christmas<br />

party have been paid. Dick will be figuring the<br />

refunds and issue refund checks to participates<br />

by <strong>February</strong> meeting. Tonight’s raffle brought in<br />

$220. The low attendance was a factor. Dick<br />

Danielsen, VP of Activities gave his report. The<br />

SLO run was great and the highlight was the ½<br />

mile long Zipline. 35 people attended Movie<br />

Night on January 11 th . Upcoming events are –<br />

January 18, Movie night. Eat where you want<br />

and meet in the theater lobby at 7pm. <strong>February</strong><br />

5 th , Super Bowl party at Andy & Connie<br />

Anderson’s. The party starts at 1:30pm! There<br />

will be hot dogs and chile. Bring an appetizer.<br />

$5.00 per couple. Feb. 12 th – Run to DiCicco’s in<br />

Merced. $30 per couple, for dinner. Meet at<br />

Herndon and Hwy 99 at 12:30pm. March 4 th –<br />

Famosa Drag Races in Bakersfield. $35 for an all<br />

day pass. See Skip Severance for more info. April<br />

20 th – Laughlin. Contact Debbie or Keith Garrison<br />

with questions.<br />

May 17 th – Lake Tahoe. $300 trip fee due by<br />

March meeting. Trip fee will include a 5* dinner<br />

and a few surprises. Questions contact in<br />

alphabetical order, Dick Danielsen, Lynn or Mike<br />

Henefent, or Mike Lebda. And bringing up the<br />

rear, July 2018 – Colorado Adventure. Dick<br />

Danielsen took a moment to put on his VP of<br />

Public Relations badge – filling in for Charlotte<br />

Renna, while she partied in Las Vegas. Just a little<br />

bump – Charlotte’s report was for the <strong>February</strong><br />

Birthdays and Anniversary. Our club has 88<br />

members. Sgt at Arms, Chuck Laningham<br />

collected $5.00 in badge fines. Debbie Garrison<br />

gave her Sunshine and Clouds report.<br />

The next General Meeting will be <strong>February</strong> 21 st<br />

<strong>2017</strong>. The next Board meeting will be Tuesday,<br />

January 24, <strong>2017</strong> at Charlotte Renna’s home. A<br />

motion to adjourn the meeting was made by Scott<br />

Parkin and seconded by Amiee Parkin. Meeting<br />

adjourned at 7:10pm.<br />

We leave at 8:00 am to the parade staging area (Jefferson, just west of Sunnyside).<br />

We MUST be in place on Jefferson before 8:25 am as they close all of the streets<br />

in that area at that time.<br />

We will wait on Jefferson approximately ½ to 1 hour until we are called on to line up.<br />

Wear/Bring: Your Patriotic Cap & CVC Shirt / American Flags & Decor, Water, Chair, Umbrella, etc.<br />

Reservations can be made anytime beginning in January.<br />

The rate is $59.00 plus taxes on Wednesday and Thursday nights, $89.00 plus taxes on Friday night, and, if you<br />

wish to stay over on Saturday night, the rate is $129.00 plus taxes.<br />

A trip fee of $300.00 is due by the March meeting.<br />

On Wednesday, May 17, we will drive to Lake Tahoe via scenic Hwy. 88 and enjoy a group dinner that night at<br />

the Montbleu Hotel.<br />

On Thursday, May 18, we will take a leisurely drive to Virginia City and have lunch at the Bucket of Blood<br />

Saloon. There will be plenty of time to shop and look around. Dinner will be on your own.<br />

On Friday, May 19, we will cruise Lake Tahoe and visit a boat museum. Lunch and Dinner will be on your own.<br />

On Saturday, May 20, either drive home or stay and play another night!<br />
