BERNSTEIN
Simon (Veliškovci, Slavonia, 1851 – ?)
On May 9th 1886 as an owner he registered the Firm Simon Bernstein - the Factory of
Soda – Water, placed in Banjaluka.
Upon the Order of Bosnia and Herzegovina State Government as of June 6th 1896 the
Firm was deleted from the Court Register. 542
In the request for issuance of passport for Vienna for medical treatment, which on July
12th 1920 submitted to the City District Office in Banjaluka, he stated that "he is travelling
salesman, retired, permanently resided in Banjaluka, the Jewish religion, medium height, oval
face, greyish hair, blue eyes, regular nose and mouth features, wears moustaches". Travelling
companions were Eta and Leopold Reichman. 543

On June 3rd 188 with his wife Simon Bernstein signed marriage contract and brought
dowry in amount of 2.000 forints.
Beniamin Dr
During 1924 he worked in Banjaluka as the military Doctor under the contract.
In the Request submitted on September 24th 1924 to the Head of the District
Banjaluka, he applied for passport for travelling to France. 544
