Based on the Request of Samuel Nachmias, the brother of the late Haim, in the list of<br />

the legacy , made on August 7th 1947 by the Commission of the City People’s Committee in<br />

Banja Luka, and the probate document of the District Court in Banja Luka, Number O: 335/47<br />

as of October 3rd 1947, it was found out that "Haim Nachmias, of the late Jozef from<br />

Banjaluka, the Ustashe murderers took him in the concentration camp in July 1941 and killed<br />

him there ; that the property consisted of the house site (the house demolished) with the yard<br />

of 226 m²surface and of the estimated value of 11.300 dinars inherited the brother Samuel, of<br />

the late Jozef Nachmias from Banjaluka and the sister Bukica, maiden Nahmijas, married<br />

Hofman from Banja Luka. As Bukica, maiden Nachmias, married Hofman from Banjaluka<br />

was killed in 1942, the son Marcel Hofman, of the late Filip from Jerusalim" inherited her. 1725<br />

He was killed in the Jasenovac concentration camp in July <strong>1941.</strong> 1726<br />

Mazalta (Banjaluka, 21.02.1908 – the Jasenovac concentration camp, 1942)<br />

- The daughter of Sadik Poljokan and Estera, maiden Levi, the clerk in the District<br />

Court in Banja Luka, the wife of tradesman Haim Nachmias. 1727<br />

The Public Department for Economic Renewal, local office Banjaluka, represented by<br />

Sulejman Hadžidedić, the trustee for Jewish apartments and business premises, according the<br />

Contract as of August 25th 1941 rented to Mustafa Sadiković apartment in 29 Džemaludin<br />

Čaušević St. with annual rent of 6.000 kunas. Upon the Contract as of August 30th 1941 the<br />

apartment in the same house, by the same Department was rented to Irena Voska, the<br />

captain’s wife. In accordance to the Report on the Revenue Received from Buildings, the<br />

ground floor of the same house was rented to Zorka Divić, with annual rent of 5.400 kunas.<br />

The owner Mazalta Nahmijas 1728 lived on the floor premise of the house.<br />

Residential office of the Municipal Authority in Banja Luka took over in 1942 the<br />

supervision over the house of Mazalta Nahmijas in 29 Čaušević St. The owner at that time<br />

didn’t live in Banjaluka. The building was repaired. The house in 13 Kraljica Marija St.,<br />

ownership of Salomon Z. and Mazalta Nahmijas Poljokan, was insured as of 1933.<br />

The trustee for Mazalta Nahmijas property was Arif Maglajlić. 1729<br />

As of July 28th 1942 had permanent residence in 29 Čaušević St. 1730<br />

In the report on War Damage, which as representative of the damaged, submitted on<br />

September 29th 1945 the County Property Administration in Banjaluka, was stated that to<br />

Mazalta Nahmijas, permanently resided in Banja Luka, 31 Čaušević St., Jewish nationality, as<br />

of April 15th 1941 during German Occupation, the damage caused the German and Ustashe<br />

Armies by destruction and confiscation of the property (the house in 31 Čaušević St., near<br />

the old Police Building, heavily damaged in bombing, and home furnishing, furniture, clothes<br />

and footwear were taken). Estimated damage of the property and the lost revenue, according<br />

the Submitter of the Request and the Municipal Commission was 316.600 dinars. 1731<br />

In the Report on War Damage submitted on September 29th 1945 by County Property<br />

Administration in Banjaluka , as representative of the damaged Mazalta Nahmijas and Moše<br />

Josipovog, permanently resided in Banja Luka, 29 Čaušević St., Jewish Nationality, was<br />

stated that as of April 15th 1941 during German occupation, the damage caused the German<br />

and Ustashe armies by destruction and confiscation of the property (the house in 29 Čaušević<br />
