Since 1997, mr allana has been involved with the Serena hotels and in his capacity as the chairman of the executive committee was responsible for the execution of their flagship hotel in islamabad. the Serena hotels chain is engaged in promoting tourism in pakistan with their significant presence in urban as well as rural areas. mr allana holds Undergraduate and post Graduate degrees from mcGill University and the University of wisconsin in engineering and management. in recognition of his services to the business and social sector in pakistan, the Government of pakistan conferred the highest civilian award Sitara-e-imtiaz upon him in 2006. 13
