Celebrating our Silver Jubilee COMMUNITY 11, TEMA IMMANUEL METHODIST GUILD On the 2nd of October, 1990 the day Immanuel Society held its first divine service, some bothers and sisters, led by Bro. Ekow Sey, who were then members of St. Paul and Bethel Methodist Guilds stated the ground work to form a branch at Immanuel society to win souls and also to reduce the long distances they have to travel to and from Guild meetings. On 29th July 1992, their vision became a reality and the Guild became the third church organization to be formed in Immanuel society under the Pastoral guidance of Rev. J, K, Bassaw (the late). The founding members were five (5) namely: Bro. Ekow Sey (now Very Rev. EkowSey), Sister Florence Sam, Beatrice Baidoo (now Mrs.Asare), Susanna Amoah and Esther Turkson. With time other officers were appointed to help strengthen the interim executives. They included Sis. Contance Dentaah and others who handled the four sections. They ran the affairs of the Guild till general elections were held to appoint substantive officers towards our inauguration on September 19th, 1993.Initial group number was 21 members. This has steadily increased to 31 members 26 females and 5 males. OBJECTIVES -The Guild is a training ground for church leadership. -The Guild is an arm of the Social and caring life of the church. -The Guild is a means of outreach and Evangelism. Meetings are held on Mondays 6:30pm – 7:30pm and members participate in activities as follows: 1.-Prayer and Devotion 2.-Bible Studies, Bible Quiz 3.-Evangelism and Visitation 4.-Socialization e.g. Pick and Art, Exchange of Gift, Bring, share and eat. 5.-Health talk- Asthma, Education knowledge first Aid for burns and scars diabetes, hypertension and Malaria. 58 IMMANUEL S O C I E T Y

Rafiki Satellite home,Winneba 2.-To pay regular visit to Ebenezer and Freeman Societies to form Guild there FUTURE PLANS To look for backslidden members and also to intensity Evangelism in order to win more souls. FINANCES - Our source of finance was through contribution and fund raising monthly dues and offertory. - Our main source of income has been payments of monthly dues, offertory, interest on savings and gift from patrons and patroness and well- wishers.
