Triangle Tech Triangle Tech’s Scholarship Award Program Triangle Tech awards one scholarship for each of its Associate in Specialized Technology and Associate in Specialized Business degree programs annually. Candidates should demonstrate outstanding achievement, talent, or leadership qualities. Financial need is not a consideration in determining these awards. This is an excellent opportunity to reduce the cost of earning a Specialized Associate Degree in one of the following programs: Refrigeration, Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning Technology Architectural Computer-Aided Drafting and Design Technology* Mechanical Computer-Aided Drafting and Design Technology* Carpentry and Construction Technology Welding and Fabrication Technology Application forms and complete details can be obtained by contacting any Triangle Tech location or by calling 1-800-874-8324. High school students may obtain an application from their guidance counselor. Applications are accepted until April 20 of each year. Criteria: Must have an average GPA of 2.5 or better Students will be awarded a scholarship in each degree program in the amount of one-fourth total tuition. Awards are dispersed one semester at a time if the student maintains a 2.5 GPA and conforms to all established school policies. The balance of tuition, fees, books, tools, and supplies must be paid by the recipients and will vary depending upon the course of study. Scholarships are awarded to applicants who have completed their high school graduation requirements at the time of the award. Scholarships are awarded to students who begin classes in the June semester only. The recipient of each scholarship will be selected by an independent committee comprised of individuals representing business, education, and government after careful review of each qualified application. In the even the recipient doesn’t accept the scholarship; the scholarship committee will select another qualified recipient. *Since the Computer-Aided Drafting and Design program has two majors (Architectural or Mechanical) only one scholarship is awarded annually. 54

University of Pittsburgh at Bradford Panther Scholarship for PA Students Commuting Criteria: Admitted freshman enrolling full-time and is commuting Can be eligible for up to $3,000 a year for up to four consecutive years Graduated from Cameron, Elk, Forest, McKean, Potter, or Warren Counties Have a high school GPA of at least 3.0 Have an SAT score of 1150 or greater (ACT score of 26 or greater) Transfer students from Pennsylvania who plan to enroll full-time and will commute: May be eligible to receive $1,000 per year while you pursue your first undergraduate degree or for up to four consecutive years Have combined and cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher in college Have earned at least 24 credits There are additional scholarships called Donor Scholarships for returning students to University Pittsburgh of Bradford. When you fill of the FAFSA if you complete the Donor Scholarship Application you will be automatically considered for these. 55
