The three official convention hotels, all on historic Canal Street adjacent to the French Quarter, offer easy access to each other, to the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center, and to New Orleans’ finest attractions. Each is about a 15-minute walk to the convention center, where most ISRI2017 activities will take place, but shuttle buses also will be running regularly to get you where you need to be. ISRI has secured the following room rates for convention goers: The Sheraton New Orleans Hotel (where governance meetings will be held April 22–24) is $259 to $279 a night; the New Orleans Marriott Hotel is $239 to $279 a night; and the JW Marriott Hotel is $279 to $299 a night. Both the Sheraton and the New Orleans Marriott also offer suites. Make your hotel room reservations at isriconven tion.org by March 24, after which the hotels cannot guarantee these rates or room availability. How to get there and get around. Flying into New Orleans, you’ll land at the Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport, where the ground transportation options include Airport Shuttle New Orleans, My Airport Trip, taxis, and Uber. In town, hop on the streetcar for an easy ride along Canal Street, St. Charles Avenue, or the Riverfront. And moving between the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center and the official convention hotels will be easy, too, thanks to shuttles for ISRI2017 attendees. S 72 _ Scrap _ JANUARY/FEBRUARY 2017 www.scrap.org
