Media’s Athlete of the<br />

Month contest, capturing<br />

the title with 681 votes.<br />

Glenbrook North hockey<br />

player David Rubin<br />

finished second, while<br />

Lake Forest basketball<br />

player Connor Hanecamp<br />

finished third. Highland<br />

Park hockey player Casey<br />

Eisenberg and Glenbrook<br />

South boys basketball<br />

player Nick Samataro<br />

rounded out the top five.<br />

Scouts land new records, conference spots<br />

The Lake Forest girls basketball team<br />

put together an impressive 23 wins for<br />

the 2016-17 season, but they’re not done<br />

racking up accolades.<br />

Junior forward Maeve Summerville<br />

ascended to the rank of all-time leading<br />

rebounder with 769, overtaking Grace<br />

Torkelson’s 755.<br />

Senior guard Delaney Williams became<br />

the all-time leader in assists with 391,<br />

overtaking Janie Hodgkinson’s 284. Williams<br />

also became the all-time leader in<br />

steals with 314, overtaking Mary Striedl’s<br />

260.<br />

Both Summerville and Williams were<br />

announced as members of the North Suburban<br />

Conference’s All-Conference team.<br />
