is hardwearing, waterproof, easily maintained with non slip properties. These qualities make
Karndean one of the most sought after floor coverings on the market.
They are the
perfect flooring
choice for busy
pet-friendly
households.
Mucky paw-prints,
accidents and
hairs are easily
wiped up with a
brush and mop
and stains are no
issue with this high
quality flooring.
Karndean won’t
Kilmacolm
Dramatic Society
Kilmacolm Dramatic Society was
set up just before D-day 1944 to
entertain troops locally, & has
presented two plays per year
since then.
‘Allo ‘Allo is a stage production
developed from a BBC 1 series
which ran from 1982 until 1992 &
was written by well-known script-writers Jeremy
Lloyd & David Croft. In 2004 it was voted the
13th best British sitcom.
Set in World War Two Nazi-occupied France,
it concerns the inept attempts of the Gestapo
to recover the stolen portrait of ‘The Fallen
Madonna with the Big Boobies, by Van Klomp’,
the attempts of the French Resistance to
repatriate downed British airmen, & the corrupt
activities of the German garrison Officers in
relation to both. The portrait is concealed within
a Knockwurst (German sausage) hanging in the
cellar of randy, if reluctant, Resistance fighter &
cafe owner Rene Artois.
The play is a satire which uses irony, sarcasm,
invective, wit & humour against oppression &
tyranny - the reason why this work was chosen
for this, the 70th anniversary of the end of World
War Two, & in respect of which the decision
was taken to donate part of the proceeds to a
Veterans’ charity.
Please come & join us on the 22nd, 23rd, 24th
& 25th April at the Kidston Hall.
Tickets are available, as usual, from the Cross
Cafe, Kilmacolm, and from Rosie Thirde on
01505 873088.
