Sponsored walk in aid of Leukaemia &
Lymphoma Research.
The walk is a 5km or 10km route that goes
through the beautiful Pollok Country Park in
Glasgow.
You can walk in memory of a loved one, to celebrate a life saved or simply for a

Coffee Morning
Saturday 22 August from 10am until 12noon at
The Masonic Hall, Collier Street, Johnstone.
There will be sales tables selling various goods. Join us
for a cuppa and a chat.
Wedding Open Evening
Join us at the Largs Viking Festival 2015
where we have an extended Viking
Village which will open every day from
11am to 5pm. Please note the Village
will close from 1.30 to 2.30 pm on 29
August to enable the re-enactors to
participate in the opening parade and
at 4.30pm on Saturday 5 September
for the Party at the Pencil.
Come and see how the Vikings lived
in an authentic 13th Century village
- talk to them about their way of life;
learn about how they made their clothes, weapons, jewellery and food. Ask
the Vikings about their religion, beliefs, homes, crafts, ships, their homeland
and why they left it. This year the re-enactment group Swords of Dalriada will
be in the Viking Village with Viking traders from Germany, Sweden and Ireland.
The entry fee of £5 for Adults and £2 for Children/Concessions (over 60s and
students) gives admission throughout the day of purchase. Under 5s free.
A Scottish Food and Craft Fayre will also open every day from 10am to 6pm.
Come and enjoy a shopping experience with a difference.
Owl Magic will be with us every day and on both weekends there will be on
stage entertainment, street performers on the Promenade and an aerobatic or
parachute display. A fun fair will also be present on the Promenade throughout
the Festival.
There will also be a series of Fringe events being held by other organisations
during the Festival. These include the Largs Flower Show, a Creative Writing
Week, a Car Boot Sale, Viking Day at Kelburn Country Park, the Largs Model
Boat Club Open Day and performances of Opera.
