Dr. Veldi Ramesh Babu<br />

Research, Department of Atomic Energy<br />
Dr. Veldi Ramesh Babu was born to Sri Veldi Chandresekharam and Smt Varalaxmi in Dandepalli village, Elkaturthy Mandal<br />
of Warangal Urban district.<br />
He did his schooling from Dandepalli, Elkaturthi and Huzurabad. He had completed his graduation from Madhu<br />
Malancha Junior and Degree colleges. He obtained his M.Sc .,Tech (1992) and Ph. D (2008) both in Exploration<br />
Geophysics from Osmania University, Hyderabad.<br />
He started his scientific career at Osmania University as a research scholar and later joined as Scientific<br />
Officer-C in Atomic Minerals Directorate for Exploration and Research, Department of Atomic Energy in 1995. Presently<br />
he is Scientific Officer-F and worked extensively in different parts of the country and contributed in exploration<br />
programme. He is specialized in ground and airborne geophysical data acquisition, processing, modeling and integrated<br />
interpretation. He has published more than 25 research papers in leading national and international journals.<br />
Dr. Ramesh Babu also presented more than 20 technical papers in India and abroad. He is an Adjunct Professor<br />
at Homi Bhabha National Institute, Mumbai and supervised 15 M. Tech dissertations. He is a Ph. D examiner to<br />
Osmania University, University of Hyderabad and Andhra University. He delivered invited talks at Osmania and Kakatiya<br />
universities. He is an active member and reviewer for national and international scientific societies/journals. He is a<br />
recipient of National Geoscience Award for the year 2016 by Ministry of Mines, Government of India.<br />

The Birthday Celebrations of Shri Bhaktha Markandeya Rushi<br />
have been celebrated at BC Netha Hostel, Hunter Road, Warangal<br />
on 30-01-<strong>2017</strong> at 9-30 am by the Padmashali Udyogula Sangam .<br />
Sri Eaga Venkateshwarlu has presided over the function while<br />
Sri Margam Kumaraswamy, President of Padmashali Sangam,<br />
Warangal Urban, Sri Kusuma Sathyanarayana, Tahsildar of<br />
Sangem as Chief Guests. On this occasion, the Chief Guests<br />
praised and offered pooja to Sri Markandeya Rushi applauded<br />
the services of Padmashali Udyogula Sangam and also appealed<br />
the Padmashali community to be united on the inspiration<br />
of Sri Markandeya Rushi.<br />
In this programme, Sri Kodam Ravi Prakash, Genl. Secy., Sri<br />
Adepu Mallikarjun, Treasurer, Sri Gottimukkala Nagasagar,<br />
Jt.Secy., Sri Kondabathini Rajamouli, Jt.Secy., and Staff &<br />
Students of Netha Hostel have attended.<br />

On the occasion of New year i.e, 1st January <strong>2017</strong>, a Calendar of Padmashali Udyogula Sangam has been released by<br />
Sri Mantri Satheesh, DTO, Bhupalpally (Associate President), Sri Racharla Parameshwar, Commissioner of Parkal Municipality and<br />
Sri Margam Kumaraswamy, President of Warangal Urban District Padmashali Sangam at BC Netha Hostel before the Padmashali<br />
kulabhandavulu.<br />
Sri Eaga Venkateshwarlu, presided over the function while Sri Kodam Ravi Prakash, Genl.Secy., Sri Adepu Mallikarjun,<br />
Treasurer, Sri Lakum Naveen Raj, Vice President, Smt.Pitta Umadevi, Org. Secy., Smt.Inugala Sujatha, Sri Margam Dharma Dev, Sri<br />
Kondabathula Rajamouli, Sri Gottimukkala Nagasagar, Sri Gottimukkala Sadanandam,<br />
Sri Goli Krishna, Sri Chiluka Srinivas and others have attended the programme.<br />

On 6th January <strong>2017</strong>, the Padmashali Udyogula Sangam purchased ’Handloom clothes’. Sri Eaga<br />
Venkateshwarlu, its President and the office bearers viz., S/Sri.Kodam Ravi Prakash, Adepu Mallikarjun,<br />
Kyatham Venkateshwarlu, Gottimukkala Naga Sagar, Kondabathini Rajamouli, Bojja Kanaka Raju had<br />
purchased the handloom clothes at TSCO showroom, Hanamkonda to support the ‘Chenetha Sector’.<br />
Pursuant to our call “support chenetha” ( ..), Sri Kusuma Sathyanarayana, Smt.Pitta<br />
Umadevi, Sri Waddepally Srikanth and other members also came forward and purchased the handloom<br />
clothes.<br />

2016, while leaving, hugged me affectionately and planted a kiss<br />
passionately and said "Hey, SUDHA, you are retired now.<br />
I made you to retire from KU service.<br />
I will make you busy otherwise".<br />
2016, coming closer to me, gave me a boxed gift.<br />
I felt happy<br />
UNBOX HAPPINESS<br />
UNBOX NEW YEAR ZINDAGI ..<br />
I opened curiously ..<br />
Lo !!<br />
Cold ..<br />
Cough ..<br />
Soar throat jumped out and enveloped me tightly.<br />
Before I knew what exactly happened,<br />
my nose was running combined with cough, throat and eyes infection<br />
..<br />
O ! What precious gifts !!<br />
Hmmmmmm ..<br />
2016 gifted these to make itself for me a memorable one always.<br />
There was no option for me to REJECT this x-mas gift ..<br />
I greeted <strong>2017</strong> quite warmly and tried to impress upon her to my<br />
level best so that she takes away these UNWANTED GIFTS. <strong>2017</strong><br />
smiled at me symbolically meaning that pain now paves way to all<br />
gains throughout <strong>2017</strong>.<br />
Having no option, I made FRIENDSHIP with these annual and seasoned<br />
guests. They are quite friendly and promised me that they<br />
leave me very soon and go in search of another FEEBLE FRIEND like<br />
me.<br />
