WCDTtours are not your average dance tours.
A World Class Dance Tour is a once in a lifetime, full on inspirational, educational and
motivational experience that catapults dancers into an uplifting arena of self-confidence,
self-belief and personal development.
The tour gives dancers the opportunity to step outside their comfort zones, explore their
potential and be inspired by the talent that our destination cities have to offer.
Dancers take incredible dance classes at the world’s top dance studios such as
Millennium, EDGE & IDA, Broadway Dance Centre, Steps on Broadway and many more.
Dancers experience a multitude of different dance styles such as jazz funk, hip hop,
contemporary, jazz, ballet, tap, musical theatre, Latin, burlesque even twerking with
world-class choreographers who have performed with the likes of Beyoncé, Chris Brown,
Rihanna, Lady Gaga to name a few!
WCDT Backstory
World Class Dance Tours was founded in 2013, by New
Zealand dancer Kim Davey, as a resource to help aspiring
dancers follow their dreams.
After many years of enjoying dance and acting classes while
at high school Kim sought to pursue a career in the arts.
However after constantly hearing the age old ‘you can’t
make a living in the arts’ and a lack of local understanding of
how this could be possible Kim decided to go to University
to study law instead.
Kim’s passion for the performing arts passion never
dwindled, and stayed alive with theatre papers, shows and
dance classes.
After graduating, Kim lasted 7 weeks in a law firm before
realising she was not being true to who she really was and
left to pursue her dreams of performance and travel.
Dancers enjoy seminars with professional dancers on ‘HOW to make it in dance’ and
agents on ‘HOW to get work in the entertainment industry’.
Dancers perform in front of international audiences on stage at Disney Parks and other
famous tourist destinations. They also take amazing dance and audition workshops with
Disney and Broadway choreographers!
On top of all the dance classes, workshops, seminars and performances, dancers enjoy
all the highlights of these fabulous cities from theme parks, to Broadway shows, outlet
shopping and much more!
The tour is a full on fast paced adventure!

shows, trainings and workshops along the way, Kim saw
that you could in fact make a living in the arts if you had
the talent, passion and correct mindset to make it happen.
From this discovery World Class Dance Tours (WCDT) was
born. WCDT - a culmination of travel, performing arts and
personal development that inspires and empowers dancers
to seek out their true passion, learn what it takes to make
it happen and expose them to what is possible if they do.
As Kim can wholeheartedly attest, there is no greater joy
than being true to who you really are.
