JOHNNY: A BAND FOR LIFE an energy surrounding these guys, as they take the stage so comfortably, as if the are using is an extension of themselves. They're a tight knit group, having had hey have played together, and it definitely shows on stage. This trio has been Smith local music scene for four years under the name RedWitch Johnny. Let's dig see what it is that drives them to do what they do. ch Johnny guitarist and vocalist, Micheal Kimble, began picking the strings when n years old, giving him about ten years of experience. He is highly influenced by ery much wanted to be the icon himself. Michael says that he learned a lot about , such as song structure and lyric writing. He listens to a wide variety of music, raws inspiration, ranging from The White Stripes, Deep Purple and Uriah Heep to Blue Oyster Cult. Having a vast array of influence, Micheal taught himself to play , banjo, and the harmonica. Now, that's impressive! His influences range from classic rock to 60's and 70's country and bluegrass. Kevin says ned, the wider his influences grew into several different styles. Black Sabbath, Led lling Stones, The Beatles, Rainbow, ZZ Top, and several southern rock groups are t have shaped his personal style into what it is today. en years, drummer Denton Hopkins has been beating on the drums. He says that in the 'classic rock n roll' world, the iconic, crazy drummers of the 70's and the hair of the 80's are his main influences.
