April 1 — Windermere Run Among The Lakes The 16th annual Windermere Run Among the Lakes begins at Windermere Town Hall, 614 Main St., Windermere, and winds along sand roads with lake views. April 15 — AIDS Walk Orlando: Twilight Downtown Orlando’s Lake Eola Park hosts Hope & Help’s AIDS Walk Orlando: Twilight, including bounce houses for children, face painting, an art show, food trucks and live musical entertainment. Time: 4 p.m. for registration and festivities; 5 p.m. for walk. Cost: $25 per walker or $50 per team of two or more, with proceeds supporting Hope & Help’s mission of inspiring, equipping and mobilizing people to take action against HIV/AIDS. April 22 — Dream Big 5K compiled by Lisa Sagers SeaWorld Orlando, 7007 Sea Harbor Drive, Orlando, hosts the seventh annual Dawn Brancheau Foundation Dream Big 5K, a 3.1-mile scenic journey and 1-mile family fun walk through SeaWorld. Strollers and baby joggers are welcome. Time: 6 a.m. for on-site registration and packet pickup, 7:15 a.m. for warmup/welcoming remarks, 7:30 a.m. for race, 8:15 a.m. for awards and closing remarks, and 8:45 a.m. for community service projects at the Sea Harbor Pavilion. Volunteers assemble personal care bags for homeless families serviced by Matthew’s Hope and doggie treat bags for several animal organizations. There is also an “Itsy Bitsy” hat parade just for children.
