Competition rules: The tournament is open for all players. Matches will be played according 

to the rules of the ITF. In case that less than 8 participants or doubles 

have signed in for a competiton, the tournament committee reserves the 

right to cancel this competition at the drawing or to amalgamate age 

groups according to the rule of the seniors circuit. 

Modus of play: All losers of the first singles matches have the chance to play on in the 

consolations matches. There will be a new B-tournament, which will start 

at the middle of the tournament week. Every player who has lost his first 

singles match of the consolations and those who have lost their second 

match in the singles main draw may participate and enter for it, i.e. every 

participant will play several singles matches during the tournament week. 

The finals of all competitions will be played on Friday, 30th March 2012 

and on Saturday, 31st March 2012. 

Tournament conditions are subject to change by the tournament

European Championships 


Modus of the play: It will be played in league system, i.e. a competiton in groups –1 set up to 

6 – amongst all participants (Round-Robin-System). 

Two sets will only be played in the final matches (play offs). 

The traditional way of counting applies according to tennis rules with 

15, 30, 40 and „no ad“, i.e. in case of deuce the next ball will decide the 

game. 

Sets will finish like in normal tennis matches. In case of 6:6 the tiebreak 

rules will apply. Incidentally, the official beach tennis rules of the EBTA 

will apply. 

The tournament will take place under any weather conditions. 

In case that less than 8 participants have signed up for a competition, 

the tournament committee reserves the right to cancel this competition 

at the drawing or to amalgamate age groups. 

Special modus: The committee reserves the right to change this modus and the modus of 

the play if neccessary (e.g. unexpected weather conditions). The players 

accept the tournament rules by handing in their entry forms. 

The award ceremony of the 9th European Beach Tennis Championships 

will take place on Thursday evening on stage of the Güral Premier Club 

Belek. 

Prizes: Travel vouchers, non-cash prizes, certificates and honor awards of the 

Güral Premier Resorts. 

Eligibility All players elder than 30 years in the respective age groups are 

for participation: entitled to participate. The respective age category depends on 

the average age of the players.

t-shirt. The entry fee authorizes participants to play in one singles and 

one doubles competition and in a singles consolations match as well as to 

attend the gala night and award ceremony. Please pay the entry fee when 

you register or you can pay the entry fee together with your travel booking. 

The entry fee does not apply to the winners of the PCT week tournaments 

2011 and 2012 and they will also receive 2 free overnight stays 

(HB) at Bluesun Grandhotel Elaphusa during the tournament week between 

07th October and 13th October 2012 (see Patricio top offer).
