BANKING ON<br />

Fed<strong>era</strong>l Bank Chairman’s<br />

Int<strong>era</strong>ction with Students<br />

Sri Syam Srinivasan, the Chairman and CEO of Fed<strong>era</strong>l Bank Ltd. visited Sri Vishnu<br />

Educational Society, Bhimavaram on 7th November 2016. He addressed the students of<br />

MBA and inspired them with his speech reflecting his vast knowledge in banking and on<br />

Indian Economy. Students took initiative to share his knowledge by asking questions on<br />

various issues ranging from the problems being faced by Indian Banks in the wake of rising<br />

NPAs, fast changing technology, raising customer expectations, the future of Indian<br />

Banking System and the impact of the outcome of US Elections on Indian Economy. Sri K.<br />

Vishnu Raju, Chairman, Sri Vishnu Educational Society, presided over the meeting. Dr. D.<br />

Suryanarayana, the Director and Principal and the staff of Vishnu Institute of Technology<br />

also attended the meeting.<br />

EPITA Team<br />

A delegation headed by Mr. Joel Courtois, Director of EPITA, a French Engineering University<br />

specializing in Computer Science and Applied Technologies visited the Bhimavaram campus of Sri<br />

Vishnu Educational Society on 22 October 2016. Mr. Courtois and team int<strong>era</strong>cted with I B.Tech CSE<br />

and IT students, of both Shri Vishnu Engineering College for Women and Vishnu Institute of<br />

Technology. Mr. Courtois underlined the importance of engineers in changing the world. Earlier, Sri R.<br />

Ravi Chandran- Vice Chairman, Sri Vishnu Educational Society introduced the EPITA team to the<br />

gathering and set the theme for the int<strong>era</strong>ction.<br />

Industrial Visit<br />

The students of III B. Tech Mechanical Engineering (20<strong>14</strong>-18 Batch) went for an industrial visit to<br />

Vijjeswaram Gas Turbo Power Station (VGTPS), Vijjeswaram. The students visited various sections of<br />

Unit-I namely Compressor, Combustion system and the Turbine. The visit was very much beneficial to<br />

the students. Dr. N. Naga Krishna, Associate Professor, Sri Ch. Bhanu Prakash, Sri K.V.G Rama Seshu<br />

and Sri. M. Rahguraman, Assistant Professors, Department of Mechanical Engineering, accompanied<br />

the students.
