Bikers Have Their Day
Once you hear the vroom of motorcycle bikes as they rumble around the hills
and highways on the island, then it’s Phuket Bike Week. This annual event has
much to entertain bike enthusiasts, so make it a family event to see exhibits on
motorbikes and custom bikes. There’s even a Miss Phuket Bike Week competition,
a beach party, concert and a ride for peace. The event’s main attractions take place
at Patong Beach and Loma Park as well as at various other locations in Patong.
The top activity most biker enthusiasts look forward to every year centres on
the motorcycle exhibition, a chance for a closer look at big and shiny bikes from

Laanta Lanta
The Laanta-Lanta Festival held every year in Koh Lanta’s Old Town around
March offers a chance for locals and visitors to celebrate unique cultural
practices from various ethnic groups on the island. This festival offers
thanks by displaying the best of their art and customs – the performances
can be magical, with the traditional “Rong Ngeng” singing and dancing
along other great traditional Thai performances. The local Chao Le (Sea
Gypsies) will conduct a special “boat floating” ceremony to promote peace
and prosperity for the island.
Lanta Old Town’s ambience is definitely something to see with its wooddecked
streets and restaurants on stilts in the water. The town’s beauty and
Andaman island charm gets enhanced during the festival with colourfully lit
lanterns adorning the streets.

Festival 2017 within its resort complexes.
