fibre laser cut components, or have their
designs processed, limiting control over

there is very little, if any, material residue, or
burr removal necessary. Also, on stainless steel,
if pure nitrogen gas is used there is no edge
oxidisation of the material, so welding,
finishing etc is not affected, again limiting the
amount of processes required for ongoing
fabrication.
The fibre laser system removes the tiniest
amount of material approx. 0.5mm, therefore

material waste is minimised and parts can be
nested closer than other systems allow,
maximising productivity & reducing material
costs, and is so fast very little heat is transferred
into the component, so most can be touched by
hand immediately following processing,
speeding things along even further. The
finished cut components need little if any
further finishing, so not only the man hours
usually afforded to this are no longer necessary,
but also the consumables that would be used,
sanding belts/disks, drill bits!, grinding wheels
etc, etc, the list goes on.
As the laser energy is delivered via a fibre
optic cable, mirror alignment needs only to be
done at the cutting head, dramatically
simplifying maintenance in comparison to other
laser cutting systems.
