Mantech UK Ltd. continue to expand their
portfolio of affordable Manufacturing
Solutions, with the introduction of Fibre Laser
Cutters & Engravers.
In the Fabrication industry today, this ‘State
of the Art’, fast accurate cutting system has been
somewhat inaccessible, due to the huge cost of
these machines. Therefore, manufacturers have
to pay enormous sub contract costs to obtain
fibre laser cut components, or have their
designs processed, limiting control over
production times & product development. It is
generally considered that owning your own
CNC Fibre Laser Cutter is way beyond reach
financially; this may no longer be the case.
Mantech can
now supply a
Fibre Laser
Cutting System
starting from only
£39,000, with
finance options
available, allowing ‘You’ full control of your
production, in addition to introducing full
product development & improvement
capabilities ‘In House’. The facility could save
thousands of man hours in finishing
components ready for further processing, as
there is very little, if any, material residue, or
burr removal necessary. Also, on stainless steel,
if pure nitrogen gas is used there is no edge
oxidisation of the material, so welding,
finishing etc is not affected, again limiting the
amount of processes required for ongoing
fabrication.
The fibre laser system removes the tiniest
amount of material approx. 0.5mm, therefore
material waste is minimised and parts can be
nested closer than other systems allow,
maximising productivity & reducing material
costs, and is so fast very little heat is transferred
into the component, so most can be touched by
hand immediately following processing,
speeding things along even further. The
finished cut components need little if any
further finishing, so not only the man hours
usually afforded to this are no longer necessary,
but also the consumables that would be used,
sanding belts/disks, drill bits!, grinding wheels
etc, etc, the list goes on.
As the laser energy is delivered via a fibre
optic cable, mirror alignment needs only to be
done at the cutting head, dramatically
simplifying maintenance in comparison to other
laser cutting systems.
addition of
the Fibre
Cutter has
already reduced sub contracted costs, & stock
holding of parts dramatically, now Storers
have the ability to produce components
instantly on demand as and when required,
and carry out modifications & prototyping onsite.
This, added to a dramatic reduction in
consumables such as drills, sanding & cutting
disks, is now deemed unnecessary due to the
superb edge finish the fibre laser produces on
components that would usually require further
finishing processes.
