One of Tria’s main activity is the assembly and maintenance of tracks along with the catenary.

We develop all types of tracks, either ballast or in plate, with the best means for each project and the most

CATENARY AND SUBSTATIONS

The assembly and mounting of catenary and substations represent another main activity undertakes by Tria.

Given the depth of experience of our professional team in assembly and maintenance of catenary and substations

we execute works in 1,500V, 3,000V or 25,000V.

Tria owns two-way track vehicles homologated to carry out all tasks of assembly or maintenance of catenary,

which allow us to work in tracks of 1.000mm, 1.435mm, and 1.668mm wide.

Design for a monorail train

R & D

R & D has always been a priority at TRIA. After having participated in several research projects jointly with national

and international consortia, we created TRIA R&D, which has independent resources and engineers exclusively

dedicated to the development of innovative projects.

As a result of our dedicated research, we have registered several patents and utility models in the areas of

railway infrastructure, transportation systems, rolling stock and civil works.

WIDE CHANGERS

Tria specialises in the design, construction, installation and maintenance of exchangers for the Spanish rail

network of both passengers and freights trains.

This patented solution allows trains manufactured by CAF and Talgo to change widths and circulate on both

Iberian width (1668mm) and international width (1435mm). The change of width occurs without stopping the

gear and therefore does not cause anytime delays.

The dual changers allow the installation of a single changer for both technologies (CAF and is an optimal solution

in terms of space, investment, infrastructure and time.

The TCRS3 is the latest model „of passenger changers.

It consists of a single platform that incorporates

technology of width change for both CAF and Talgo.

• TCRS2

The TCRS2 is the second generation of dual changers.

The change of platform is made by a horizontal

movement.

• TCRS1

The TCRS1 is the genesis of dual changers. The

change from one platform to another is completed

through a vertical depression.

• MULTICHANGER

The Multichanger is the first width changer for freight

trains and it is used in trains equipped with the OGI axis.

R & D

VARIABLE WIDTH AXLE FOR GOODS

Tria has delivered a project for ADIF which consists of a design and homologation for a variable width axle

suitable for freight wagons. In Spain, at present, only passenger trains have the capacity to travel between the

standard width network and the Iberian-wide network.

However, thanks to the variable width axle, which is applied to any wheel gauge and wheel diameter, all wagon types

can be interchanged between tracks in Iberian width and tracks in standard width throughout the national territory.

Once approved in other European countries, freight trains equipped with this movable running axle will be able

to navigate through the UE regardless of different track widths, thus eliminating the load breakage points.

As a result of this innovalue invention, transport times will drastically shorten which in turn will improve

competitiveness and efficiency by this means of transport.
