The Central Valley Corvette Club was
chartered in 1991 for the owners of the only
real AMERICAN sports car, the awesome
CORVETTE. It's a social organization with
activities that provide enjoyment for the true
Corvette lover.

AT 6.30 P.M. ON THE 3 RD TUESDAY
OF EVERY MONTH AT YOSEMITE
FALLS CAFE, 4278 W. ASHLAN AVE,
FRESNO CALIFORNIA. INTERESTED

ATTEND THE MEETINGS AND MEET
OUR MEMBERS.
Club activities include monthly meetings,
car shows, weekend Club activities,
overnighters, picnics, road rallies, summer
cruises, holiday get-to-gathers and more!
Eligibility for membership in CVC is
defined in Article III, section 1 of the
bylaws in part as follows: "Membership in
Central Valley Corvettes shall be open to all
Corvette owners who are sponsored by a
member in good standing. Additionally, a
prospective member must, within a three
month period , attend two consecutive
meetings, participate in two club sanctioned
social activities, pay current membership
dues and initiation fees, and be approved by
two-thirds vote of membership present at a
general membership meeting by secret
ballot.
Sponsors shall be responsible for advising
prospective member of results. All members
must submit proof of personal insurance in
accordance with California State Law upon
application for membership, and all
members must be a member of the
association providing club liability insurance
for CENTRAL VALLEY CORVETTES.
A prospective member who does not have a
sponsor will be provided one by the
membership committee. Non-members may
not participate in more than three meetings
or two sanctioned activities as per CVC
Bylaws.
CVC membership dues are $67.00 plus an
initiation fee of $35.00. Membership entitles
two members at the same address voting
privileges at meetings (provided they are in
good standing) and membership rights.

Hi Fellow Corvetter’s,
I think we had a great meeting last
month hope it wasn't too long. I can't
believe it comes around so fast. The
calendar is filling up fast so if you are
thinking of putting on a run you better
get busy! We had a board meeting the
28th, it was good, the board is slowly
getting dialed in.
Planning a Pre Run for the mystery tour,
we are planning for late September or
first of October will let you know. Keith
and Debbie are helping us plan the run
should be a lot of fun!! That's all for now,
see you all at the next meeting.

Central Valley Corvettes
General Meeting Minutes
March 21, 2017
The General Meeting was called to order by
President Andy Anderson at 6:30pm. Minutes
from the February meeting were read. Glenn
Henderson made a motion to accept the
minutes as read. Bob Peluso seconded. Dick
Johnson gave the Treasurer’s report. Checking
account is in good shape. Tonight’s raffle
brought in $265.00
VP of Activities, Dick Danielsen went over past
events for March, Bakersfield Drag Races had 6
people and Movie Night had good food but so
so movie (some said it was a chick flick). Future
Runs include, Laughlin with 9 cars. Meet at
Jensen and 99 at 8am. Clovis Parade- 14 cars
have signed up. Be at Trading Post Shopping
Center (Herndon and Clovis Ave) at 7:30am.
Decorate with Red, White and Blue. We will talk
about May 7 th , Kroekerville Picnic at April
meeting. May 13 th – Dukes Potluck with live
entertainment. $10 per person. See sign-up
sheet for potluck choices. The trip fee for the
Tahoe Run May 17-20 has been reduced to
$150.00 per couple. There are 16 cars signed
up. June 4 th is the Ficklin Winery Run. Trip fee
is $35 per person by the May meeting. June 10 th
our newest members the Baumgartens will be
leading us to Madera Speedway. No fee.
VP of Public Relations, Charlotte Renna stated we
are still at 88 members. Guests present were
Nancy White’s son, Brian White and Mike Hayes
brought guest Jim Conklin. Acting Sgt at Arms for
Chuck Laningham, Chuck Hall collected $2.50 in
badge fines. Debbie Garrison gave her Sunshine
and Clouds report. She announced she will be
retiring March 31st. Hooray!!
Old Business: The Board did consider Emilio
Garcia’s suggestion of moving the meetings to
7pm during the summer, but did decide to keep
the time at 6:30.
New Business:
Mike Lebda reminded the members that Clinton Ave
will be closed for 6-9 months starting April 3rd.
Traffic will be diverted to Ashlan Ave. So plan your
travel time accordingly.
The next General Meeting will be April 18th. The
next Board meeting will be Tuesday, March 28th at
Charlotte Renna’s home. A motion to adjourn the
meeting was made by Tom Jarvis and seconded by
Charlie Fosnaugh. Meeting adjourned at 7:15pm.

Steve and Lydia weren’t at the Meeting they had to attend a Transportation Event but they
wanted to share with us that they were blessed with their 13 th Grandchild. His name is Henry J.
Garcia and he weighed 6 lbs. 4 ozs. He and another Grandson born earlier this past year;
Teancum Siaki Lakatani weighing in at 8 lbs. will be joining the rest of the grandchildren at
Family gatherings.
Pan Hansen wasn’t with us either-She was on a Carnival Cruise with their Son and his family-she
asked us to keep an eye on Craig for her.
Joyce Kroeker sent us an update an Ed; she thinks he just likes staying in bed and being waited
on. Still in the Care Facility; said soon she’s going to have his mail forwarded! Joyce and Ed
wanted to Thank everyone for their cards and prayers.
Ruthie Danielsen is getting better, now in a regular room and eating a little. Hopefully soon she
will soon be going to Rehab to continue her progress. Many prayers are being sent to Ruthie
and Dick.
Roy had a close call last month. He had a malignant melanoma removed from his left forearm.
He also had a Sentinel Lymph Node removed from his armpit to see if the cancer had spread.
The biopsy was positive so he had a Cat-Scan and a PET scan, luckily it had not. So next month he
will have the remaining Lymph Nodes removed to prevent any chance of the cancer spreading.
Ironically enough, 2 days after Roy’s surgery, he and Mary Ann had to take their dog Shadow to
the Vet to have an open sore removed. It ended up being a rare sweat gland cancer-so both Roy
and Shadow had cancer successfully removed from their left forearm/foreleg at the same time.
Amazing!
And finally, I know you all must be thinking that I was just teasing when I said I was retiring-But I
am! On 03/31/17 I will be officially retired! Keith and I are planning trips to visit Family and
Friends. Hopefully we will finally get to work on painting and finish tiling the house, and our long
awaited trip back to Kentucky to see our Grandchildren!

We MUST be in place on Jefferson before 8:25 am as they close all of the streets
in that area at that time.
We will wait on Jefferson approximately ½ to 1 hour until we are called on to line up.
Wear/Bring: Your Patriotic Cap & CVC Shirt / American Flags & Decor, Water, Chair, Umbrella, etc.

ABSOLUTELY NO BURN-OUT OF TIRES. If one car spins its tires, we will all be escorted off
the parade route and never be invited back again. No throwing of candy or trinkets.

Reservations can be made anytime beginning in January.
The rate is $59.00 plus taxes on Wednesday and Thursday nights, $89.00 plus taxes on Friday night, and, if you
wish to stay over on Saturday night, the rate is $129.00 plus taxes.
A trip fee of $150.00 is due by the March meeting (if you already paid $300 a refund will be coming).
On Wednesday, May 17, we will drive to Lake Tahoe via scenic Hwy. 88, stop for lunch and check in at the
Montbleu Hotel.
On Thursday, May 18, we will take a leisurely drive to Virginia City and have lunch at the Bucket of Blood
Saloon. There will be plenty of time to shop and look around. Dinner will be on your own.
On Friday, May 19, we will cruise Lake Tahoe and visit a boat museum. Lunch and Dinner will be on your own.
On Saturday, May 20, either drive home or stay and play another night!
