Present simple it is the

simplest verbal and

important time of the english

languaje.

structure

Present simple

grammatical

affirmative:

*To bearing in mind

to the verb.

If the subject is 3ª person of

the singular one add a “-S”

*Let’s see as example the conjugation of the verb

“To Live”

- I live

-You live

-He live’s


*Special case = 3ª person

For the verbs end in “or”, “sh”, “ch”, “ss”, “x”, “y”,

“z”, it is added “es” instead of “s” form 3ª person Of

the singular one.

Subject + do(es)+ Not +verb + complement

Example:

I do not sing and dance

He does not sing and dance

*In english “do + not”, it contracts to “don`t” and

“does + not” they contracts to “doesn`t”.

Examples:

I don`t sing and dance.

He doesn`t sing and dance.


*The auxiliary verb “do” it is used

in subjects: I, You, we, They and

the auxiliary verb “does” it is used

in subjects: She, He, It.

Examples:

I do not play tennis.

She does not play tennis.

past simple

Simple past, is the verbal

tense that is used in the

english languaje to narrate

facts that happened at a

specific moment in the past.

*affirmative verb regular:

Estructure:

Subject + verb regular + complemet.

When the verb`s regular, the affirmations are

constructed using the verb in infinitive and are

added the ending ed (or d, F the infinitive ends in

e).

Examples:

*Leonardo Da vinci painted the mona lisa.

*The teacher used a red pencil to correct the

exams.

When the verbs is irregular, look for it in the

second column (in the list of the simple past).

Examples:
