At the threshold to the new millennium, the
Meissen Manufactory surprised porcelain
lovers the world over with a brand-new style of
tableware. Under the stewardship of MEISSEN ®
designer Sabine Wachs, three years were spent
in the artistic development of “Waves”, a design
with which the artist has turned a poetic name
into a programmatic concept. MEISSEN ®
designers have since come up with a series of
imaginative patterns that astutely emphasize the
shape’s elegance. One of these new schemes is
“Wild Poppy”, which captures summer fields in
flaming shades of red.
An der Schwelle des neuen Jahrtausends
überraschte die Meissener Manufaktur Porzellanliebhaber
in aller Welt mit einem neuen Service.
Unter Federführung von MEISSEN ® -Designerin
Sabine Wachs (*1960) entstand in dreijähriger
künstlerischer Entwicklungsarbeit die Serviceform
„Wellenspiel“. Die Künstlerin machte den
poetischen Namen zum Programm. MEISSEN ® -
Designer entwarfen fantasievolle Dekorationen,
die gekonnt die Eleganz der Formen betonen.
Eine davon ist „Wilder Mohn“, die flammende
Rottöne sommerlicher Felder einfängt.
