Aidas and Izabela Valincius and family, Homer Glen<br />
residents<br />
The Valincius family rescued their dog, Phil, a pit bull<br />
and Labrador mix, from the streets of Houston, Texas.<br />
When he was a puppy, Aidas saved his life by taking<br />
him in his truck and bringing him to Chicago.<br />
The family wrote it was difficult at that time, since they already had a dog that did<br />
not like anybody besides himself and his parents, along with the fact they lived in a<br />
small apartment and Izabela was pregnant, though they managed it well.<br />
Phil is now about 6 years old and happy. He is the family’s lone dog, as they lost<br />
their Shar-Pei three years ago. Like many other dogs, Phil likes to walk, play and<br />
chase small animals. He unconditionally loves the family.<br />
In this photo, he was found hiding from the rain in a planting pod outside. After<br />
seeing this, the family decided to share the picture to show how goofy Phil can<br />
sometimes be.<br />
