SMART ACOUSTIC GREEN - PICTURE
SAG Picture is a composite vegetal board made of stabilized plant species from northern Europe coupled
to a natural base layer. When fixed to a wall, SAG gives a strong emotional impact that is felt firstly for
the extraordinary visual presence of the smooth vegetal surface, and at a second stage for the significant
reduction of glare and background noise. In fact, the coupling of the vegetal layer with the substrate
increases the acoustic dampening characteristics of this installation, in order to deaden room noises, and
therefore rising the wellbeing of the living space. Every SAG picture is surrounded by a crude iron frame.

SAG - Vegetal Picture
Vegetal composite boards, surrounded by crude iron frame (see picture at pag. 4). The Smart Acoustic Green
material features peculiar noise deadening characteristics. Fed by air humidity, the vegetals are durable, require very
little maintenance and are particularly suited to dim lit locations. The vegetals are dyed with natural pigments and
coupled to an inert plywood panel by a dampening layer. Direct sunlight must be avoided, as well as excessive air
dryness (below 50%). The SAG Picture is made in one piece only and it is ready to be hanged on the wall!

SOUND ABSORBING VEGETAL COVERING
01 SMART ACOUSTIC GREEN TECHNOLOGY
Smart Acoustic Green is an innovative evergreen covering made from a Scandinavian plant
species which has been specifically designed for interior design projects. With Smart
Acoustic Green, Blumohito creates vertical installations that provide a strong emotional
impact, initially because of the extraordinary presence of the plant, but then also because of
the installation’s considerable contribution to reducing reverberation and mitigating
background noise. The conformation of the plant amplifies the sound absorbing properties of
the support to which it is coupled in the laboratory, which further improves its acoustic
performance and thus enhancing environmental wellbeing.
02 COMPONENTS
The installation consists of a sound absorbing laminated panel on which a very dense,
uniform vegetal layer is hand trimmed and placed, then made to adhere permanently to the
backboard. This procedure guarantees total plant coverage right from the initial stage of the
installation. The plant adapts perfectly to indoor environments and feeds on room moisture.
Its colour – which is determined during the cultivation stage – does not contain any harmful
toxic or noxious substances and does not discolour with time.
A raw iron frame is included in every SAG Picture. The iron frame section is 60x5 mm.
An RGB LED lighting is offered as an option. The LED stripes are placed in the back of the
SAG Picture, and mounted over a spacer in order to provide scenographic backlight.
03 CARE AND MAINTENANCE
Blumohito’s Smart Acoustic Green lives well in low light or no light situations. The plant does
not require photostimulation. To ensure optimal maintenance over time, a minimum relative
humidity value of 50% must be guaranteed in the room, and the plant should not be placed
near air conditioners, fan coils, sunlight or direct heat sources. If the soft feel of the touch
temporarily brittens, simply spray a little water from a distance of at least 50 cm. However,
the moisture values of the environment should then have to be adjusted. SAG must not be
watered.
04 INSTALLATION
Our Smart Acoustic Green Pictures come complete and ready for installation (no parts to
assemble). There are two spaced slots in the back, so hanging it on the wall is extremely
easy.
05 WARRANTY
Blumohito guarantees the workmanship, accuracy, and quality of all its products. The
warranty also covers installation when carried out directly by Blumohito. The warranty
excludes wilful intent and negligence, and it is limited to conformity defects of the installed
work that may appear during the period of validity. Its validity depends also on the regular
payment of invoices as per the terms and conditions.
