An Exhibit from the Sereno Fossil Lab

May 15 – September 24 

Did you like the dinosaurs you saw in the movie 

Jurassic World? Visit the Library to see the 

two-story-tall giant Jobaria—you will have to 

go to the 1st and 2nd floor to see all of him. 

You will find a flying pterosaur with a 16-foot 

wingspan and a fierce Suchomimus, who 

looked like a crocodile with enormous claws. 

The exhibit will feature: 

• Fossils 

• Real dinosaur bones you can touch 

• Expedition images 

The bones of the Dinosaur Giants were 

discovered in Africa by world-famous 

University of Chicago paleontologist 

Dr. Paul Sereno.

la Biblioteca para ver al gran Jobaria 

– es tan alto que tendrás que subir 

al segundo piso para verlo completo. 

También veras un pterosaurio volador 

con alas que miden más de 16 pies y 

un Suchomimus, un reptil feroz con un 

parecido a un cocodrilo, pero con unas 

enormes garras. La exhibición tendrá:

exhibición, GIANTS, haciendo piñatas de huevos de 

dinosaurios antes de nacer con la artista local, Teresa 

Magaña. Ven haz tu piñata el primer jueves y luego decora la 

piñata el segundo jueves. Llévate tu piñata a casa o déjanos 

exhibirla en Kidspace. Será necesario inscribirse para los dos

Picnic Familiar en español 

Biblioteca Principal Escenario al Aire Libre 

Miércoles, 28 de junio 6 pm 

Traiga una comida para comer al aire 

libre con su familia en el césped al oeste

proveerá postre y bebida. A las 7 pm acompáñanos para 

“Canta y Baila” con Alina Celeste. Vamos a celebrar y 

aprender canciones folklóricas y canciones originales.

alegre! Este espectáculo será presentado en español.

Make a Difference! Help an 

Adult Learn English 

The Literacy Connection is seeking 

volunteers to tutor adults in English 

as a second language, citizenship or 

basic literacy skills. To learn more, 

attend a one-hour orientation at Gail 

Borden Public Library from 6 to 7 pm on 

Monday, May 8. The orientation will be 

followed immediately by tutor training 

until 9 pm. Training continues on May 

10, 15 and 17 from 6 to 9 pm. 

Tutors meet with adult learners for 

one or two hours a week. Tutors must 

be at least 18 years old and be able 

to read and write English but don’t 

need to speak another language. Call
