School Owners and Instructors, here is your chance to
review and go over your Kenpo material with Joe
Palanzo. Training will be offered Friday, November 11
from 10:00am-1:00pm. This is a great opportunity to
have one on one time with Mr. Palanzo and ask him
your questions. Assisting Mr. Palanzo will be Tom
LoVarco and Jim Baran.

Conference instructors
Joe Palanzo is President of the WKKA and is a 10th Degree Black Belt. Mr. Palanzo earned his 7th degree Black Belt
under famed Grandmaster Ed Parker. He has long enjoyed an international reputation and critical acclaim for his
proficiency in the martial arts.
Tom LoVarco is the Vice-President of the WKKA and 7th degree Black Belt in Kenpo. Mr. LoVarco and his wife
Lorraine are the owners of American Black Belt Academy in Massapequa Park, NY. Mr. LoVarco is continues to
develop the WKKA tournament circuit and the expansion of Kenpo through WKKA training seminars.
Jim Baran is a 6th Degree Black Belt in Kenpo. Mr. Baran is on the WKKA Board of Directors and owns Baran’s
Kenpo Karate in Wallingford, Connecticut. Mr. Baran is a well respected instructor known for his outstanding
dedication and integrity for the martial arts.
Steve Muhammad is the founder Wu Shur Shin Chuan Fa martial arts system and founder and president of the BKF
(Black Karate Federation). He is a champion tournament competitor, and has trained thousands of martial arts
practitioners worldwide. Additionally, Mr. Muhammad appeared in Bruce Lee's movie "Enter the Dragon".
Henry Agri is a 7th Degree Kenpo Black Belt and has taught martial arts for over 25 years. He is the owner of Henry
Agri's Kenpo Karate in North Grafton, MA and has owned and operated schools in FL, CA and GA. Mr. Agri is an
accomplished martial artist who earned his Black belt at the age of 15 and has trained with some of the world's
greatest martial artists.
Sibora Chan is a 7th Black Belt and owner of American Kenpo Karate Studio in York, Pennsylvania. Mr. Chan is a
nationally renowned instructor, and he has trained countless police officers, SWAT team members, homicide
detectives, military and special security agents.
Bart Vale is a 9th Degree Black Belt in Kenpo Karate and a world champion in Shootfighting. He is one of the true
pioneers of mixed martial arts and reality-based combat in the United States. He owns and operates Tiger and
Dragon Karate School in Sunrise FL, and is the founder of the International Shootfighting Association.
Yannick Grenon is a 5th degree Black Belt under Senior Master Joe Palanzo. He has an extensive martial arts
background of over 30 years in many styles, such as Penchak Silat, Jiu-Jitsu, Tae Kwon Do, Aikido, Kajukenbo,
combatives and weapons. He owns and operates the Academy of Kenpo Karate in Montreal, Canada. As a former
bodyguard, he incorporates his real life experiences into his teaching.
Tim Murphy is a 3rd Degree Black Belt in Kenpo Karate. In 2000, he founded Rockland Kenpo Karate in Rockland
County New York. He teaches self-defense for real world scenarios, and helps his students accentuate their
strengths while overcoming their limitations.
Chris LoVarco is a first degree black belt in American Kenpo. He began his martial arts training at the age of 6 in
Shotokan Karate and began training in Kenpo at 12. Mr. LoVarco also trains in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Kickboxing.
Dennis Tosten is a 10th Degree Black Belt and founder of the Amerikick Franchise. Mr. Tosten trained with, and
received, his black belts from world famous martial artists including Joe Lewis, Ed Parker, and Dr. Maung Gyi . For
more than 40 years, Mr. Tosten has taught martial arts to thousands of students, and was a world champion
tournament competitor.
Ken Herman is a 6th Degree Black Belt in Kenpo and has studied martial art for more than 30 years. Mr. Herman is a
loyal Ed Parker advocate, and an outstanding instructor.
