Verifying BGP-Specific Configuration
With the modular nature of NX-OS, you can now show the relevant BGP configuration by
using the show run bgp command, as demonstrated in Example 3-99.
First Hop Redundancy Protocols
Data center network designs frequently call for maximum redundancy to support the
24x7x365 operation mode called for in high-availability environments. A component of
these designs is the use of a First-Hop Redundancy Protocol (FHRP). FHRPs provide a
mechanism for maintaining an active default IP gateway at all times. This section covers
three FHRPs and their associated configurations, including the following:
• Hot Standby Router Protocol (HSRP)
