Mirapex (Pramipexole)

Mirapex (Pramipexole) pram-i-PEX-ole Classification: dopamine agonist IFU: Parkinson's disease, Restless syndrome Action: has some of the same effects as a chemical called dopamine, which occurs naturally in your body. Dosage: Tablet, 0.125 mg Route: P.O. Adverse Reaction: Constipation, dryness of the mouth, Headache, heartburn, indigestion, or acid stomach Interactions: Sodium oxybate: Using sodium oxybate together with pramipexole may increase side effects such as drowsiness, dizziness, lightheadedness, confusion, depression, low blood pressure, slow or shallow breathing, and impairment in thinking, judgment, and motor coordination. Mobic (Meloxicam) mel-OKS-i-kam Classification: nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). IFU: Inflammation by rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis. Action: Reduces hormones that cause inflammation and pain in the body. Dosage: Tablet: 7.5 mg or oral suspension Route: P.O. Adverse Reaction: Diarrhea, Gas, Heartburn, indigestion Interactions: Ardeparin: Combining these medications can increase the risk of bleeding complications. Page 117
