ENDURING LEGACY FINAL

Horse Population in

Horse Population in Arizona Although the exact numbers of horses and burros state by state has always been a source of contention on both sides of this issue, the Bureau of Land Management [BLM] estimate of 500 remaining wild horses in Arizona is believed by both sides to be a viable number. The State of Arizona can, rather easily, sustain 500 wild horses. For this reason, a moratorium on roundups and slaughter in Arizona could, effectively, happen.
