It's My Right! The foundation of life is that we were created by God. Everything belongs to Him; period! God is love but love is not God. God's love is very different from ours in many respects. The nature of God is He demands obedience from all His creation; indeed strict obedience. God created us and gave us complete free will. He will never force or coerce us in any way to do anything; ever. There are 7 church ages spoken of in the book of Revelation and the last of those is the Laodecian church age. The word Laodecian means 'rights of the people'. It's about all you hear from people these days. In truth, the only right we have is to fear God and keep His commandments (Ecclesiastes 12:13). According to the word of God, He gives each of us a time and a space to repent. That is the time we are on this earth in these physical bodies. If we miss that opportunity, we do not get a second chance. Hebrews 9:7 "And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:". The summation of this is that God set this whole thing up to give us all the opportunity to choose life or death and complete free will. God wants a family that loves Him from their heart and not due to any compulsion. The Lord gave us His word to expose our sin, fall from grace and the plan on how to get back in. Then He gave us preachers of the gospel to preach that Word to a lost and dying world knowing that some would hear it, believe it and act on it. Oh and all this by which is the only thing that moves God. 1Corinthians 1:21 "For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.". The point I am trying to drive home here is that if you have never known the Lord and are reading this article, it is God using me as a vessel to call you to repentance. You are lost and there is no finger pointing or disgrace in that fact. We all were at one point. I haven't always been a preacher. Any rights you thought you had or were owed you are a myth except the one I referenced above. What are the benefits of repentance and coming to God and living the rest of your days here on earth in obedience to Him? Salvation, having every need met, deliverance from all your enemies, peace that passes all understanding and Almighty God Who will never leave nor forsake you and, best of all, everlasting life. What are the consequences of refusing Him? No help in time of trouble, not having your needs met, being taken captive by the devil at his will and, after you die, eternal damnatioin burning in the lake of fire! Why? Because, very simply put, everything belongs to God and who can tell Him what to do or not to do? Who can say, as the scripture teaches, “Why hast thou made me thus?”. The first steps of salvation are easy: 1) Confess all your sins to Him right where you are with a repentant heart believing He hears you by faith; because He does. 2) Find a church where the truth is preached from the original King James Version of the bible and be faithful. 3) Get the hell out of your life as much as possible meaning the vices that convict your conscience. 4) Begin to seek God for the gift of the Holy Ghost which God gives to them that obey Him (Acts 5:32).
