<strong>TUSA</strong>: Statement by Dominic Ryan<br />
“As an artidt wh has seen five<br />
war zones, experienced nd<br />
witnessed at first hand the<br />
injustices of both sides and<br />
the fog of war, I continue to<br />
believe that the victims of<br />
wars require both a defending<br />
voice, the understanding of<br />
respect for their own dignity.<br />
As an artist I am left with only<br />
my conscience rudimentsary<br />
finances and my own hands<br />
to ask those who wage wars<br />
to reconsider and seek a path<br />
of non-violence. During the<br />
last chapter of the painting of<br />
<strong>TUSA</strong> I considered painting a<br />
written text beneath it which<br />
could be read. These words<br />
can remain as my final statement<br />
here:<br />
“War cannot erase war; violence will on<br />
we do not kill our fellow humanity.” -<br />
