Week4229thMayto2ndJune

Dear Parents, Guardians, Friends and Family, We are now coming to the end of Week 42 of the academic year, with just three weeks remaining. The final weeks are a busy time for us as a school as we conclude assessments, write reports and celebrate our student’s successes. At the end of this newsletter, there is a list of the events we have before the end of term, and I look forward to seeing many of you as you support the students and school in these final events. Year 6 SATs results - Mr. Owen - Head of Primary This week the children in Year 6 have been busy completing their end of Primary SATs tests. For the second year in a row our children have outperformed the results achieved by schools in the UK across Reading, Writing, Maths and Science. They also recorded the school's finest ever Level 5 results; evidence that many of them are working far ahead of what we could expect for students their age. This is a tremendous achievement and nothing less than the children deserve. We wish you the best of luck as you move on to Secondary next year. Year 6 Role Models Whilst preparing for their SATs, our pupils thought deeply about the purpose of their academic studies and what they are eventually leading towards. Today, they gave presentations to their peers about well-known figures who inspire them and whose achievements they hope to emulate (or even surpass!). It's heartwarming to see how our children admire those public figures whose work has benefited humanity as a whole in such a wide range of fields. We encourage them to follow the advice of one such figure: "Try not to become a person of success. Strive instead to become a person of value" - Albert Einstein
