When I woke up on the day I was a bit nervous but filled with excitement. The day had finally come!
I would finally see my bride walking down the aisle and would be marrying the love of my life, my high school sweetheart.
This was the best day of my life and I had been looking forward to it for so long.
Ashleigh and I had been together for 12 years, but this was a whole new feeling and a whole new adventure we would be
embarking on.

This luxury resort is situated amidst one of Cape Town’s oldest Milkwood forests, directly below the famous Chapmans
Peak drive and overlooking the stunning 8 km long, white, sandy beach of Noordhoek, ideal for those romantic evening
strolls.
The décor is a wonderful eclectic mix of antique oak and Oregon, old carved Bali dark wood pieces, Victorian oak antiques,
huge comfortable couches, plantation chairs, natural grain wood sills, warm natural stone in the hall, sunlight
pouring in through the old Cape Dutch windows with shutters to the North, deep Victorian Oregon windows to the South
looking over the sea with its continuous breakers. This is the most romantic spot in Africa.

When my dad arrived before we left to go to the
ceremony everything started to feel surreal. It was
happening, I was getting handed over to the man
of my dreams.

CEREMONY
Because of you I can feel myself slowly but surely becoming
the me I have always dreamed of being.
We spent most of the day passing the time and
it was all very relaxed until I finally arrived at
the venue to greet some of the early bird guests
who had arrived. Then it hit me. The excitement
and nervousness I had experienced up until
this point grew 10 fold.
In just moments, the woman of my dreams was
going to be arriving and the setting was just
perfect.

Standing at the front of the crowd with my groomsmen, the music started, “From this moment” signalling
the arrival of the bridal party. The bridesmaids walked down the aisle to join us at the front
and then it happened, my beautiful bride with her white dress. I don’t think anyone can prepare you
for the gravity of that exact moment. My heart nearly stopped.

with tingles of anticipation, the excitement and emotions

Even though the evening went by in
a flash, we made an effort to take in
as much as possible. All our closest
friends and family celebrated with us
in style and it really was the fairytale
wedding Ashleigh had been hoping
