Celebrating an Expansion & Renovation
The Homer Township Public Library is a valuable
community destination. Located at 14320 West
151st Street in Homer Glen, it offers opportunities
for life-long learning for all ages, supported by a collection
of more than 100,000 items. Come and visit the newly
expanded library. Automatic entry doors provide
convenient access, as do wider book aisles. Visitors will find
a 24-computer public area, six study rooms, a teen room,
sunroom, Family Activity Room, Community Room, and
a dedicated Heroes Quiet Reading room with fireplace--
all featured in a bright and inviting energy efficient space.
The expansion project was self-funded at no taxpayer cost
through conservative budget management and grants.
Customer friendly staff members are ready to provide
continued excellence in service to visitors!
Open seven days a week, Homer Library celebrates our
32nd year of excellence. The 24,000 square foot library
offers you more space to appreciate the things you love
@ your library. Enjoy free DVD movies, read a magazine,
check out that brand new bestseller, take a free class or
program, register your child for a fun event, join one of
our clubs, save money, and benefit from what your library
offers. Or visit the awesome bookmobile that brings items
directly into community areas each week.
With a customer friendly staff we offer a wide variety of
programs, including Polish/English Story Time, Wiggles
‘n Giggles preschool time, Teen Intern Program, and many
book discussion clubs. Highly utilized programs include
Armchair Travelers, Knitting Club, Cooking Classes, and
other educational and inviting programs.
Homer Library continues to be a community gathering
space, social destination, and a haven where information
can be accessed by every person in our community.
