expressive textiles. Annette Douglas lives and breathes textiles, design and<br />
innovation. The curtain collection brings together tactile structures, interes t-<br />
ing materials as well as colour combinations and subtle colour nuances, all<br />
combined with fresh colour acc<strong>en</strong>ts. The collection is based on three colour<br />
schemes: silver, copper and brass. Modern design is being reinterpreted,<br />
from floral to graphic. For Annette Douglas, the beauty of premium materials,<br />

Annette Douglas has already designed<br />
three curtain collections for<br />
Atelier <strong>Pfister</strong>. She develops her<br />
ideas with paper or fabric models,<br />
needle and thread, paintbrush and<br />
paint, creasing and folding. These<br />
models serve as inspiration and form<br />
the basis for industrial implem<strong>en</strong>tation<br />
later on. Her collections are<br />
the expression of a sophisticated,<br />
modern and clear use of form. The<br />
fabrics, which are manufactured<br />
in Switzerland where possible, are<br />
produced using high-quality materials<br />
such as cotton and wool.<br />
Annette Douglas, who has dual<br />
British/Swiss citiz<strong>en</strong>ship, was born<br />
in 1971 and is the third g<strong>en</strong>eration<br />
of her family to be involved in the<br />
textile industry. Her flair for colour<br />
and form and her technical expertise<br />
help to <strong>en</strong>sure that her ideas are<br />
not only visually appealing, but also<br />
suitable for production. Annette<br />
Douglas strives to break the mould<br />
with each and every design – ev<strong>en</strong> if<br />
her creations appear to be harvested<br />
effortlessly from her imagination.<br />
