PIPPA MIDDLETON AND HER NEW HUSBAND,
financier James Matthews, may not officially be
royalty, but they vacation like kings. Pippa’s in-laws,
David and Jane Matthews, own the crown jewel of
St. Bart’s, the exclusive Eden Rock hotel. The couple
bought the property in 1995 and raised their children on
the Caribbean island’s nine square miles of sandy paradise.
The Eden Rock has been an A-list getaway since it was
built around 1950 by the eccentric aviator Rémy de
Haenen, who used it as a private hideaway for friends like VONGERICHTEN‘S
