Educational technology in the teaching learning process
INTRODUCTION:
The word technology means ‘Applied science’.
In other words, any valid and reliable process or procedure that is derived
from basic research using the “scientific method is considered a technology”.
The term Educational technology is often associated with and encompasses,
instructional theory and learning theory while instructional technology covers
the process and system of learning and instruction. Education technology
include other system used in the process of developing human capability.

the word technology for the sister field of educational and Human

Technology of education symbolizes a technological approach to education.
It is the application of psychology of learning theories principles of instruction, curriculum and learning to the
process of education.

Education technology has absolutely revolutionized the entire
education system.
Until recently, the teacher used to the role interpreter of knowledge to the
learner and the text book the role resource.
Educational technology has affected the conventional roles and it has
opened up the new areas of teacher function such as management of
resources and management of learning.

Characteristics of a teacher have a great influence on the
behaviour, learning and adjustment of students.
Effective teaching depend upon appreciate meaning of particular

1. Behaviour : It is defined as something a person does behaviour may be

2.Teacher’s behaviour is defined as the behaviour or activities of person
as they go about doing. whatever is required of teachers particularly
those activities that are concerned with the direction of guidance of the
learning of others.
3.Teaching : Teaching is an intimate contact between teachers, a more
mature personality and student is less mature personality.
4. Behaviour Modification: Behaviour modification is a discipline that
makes use of learning disciplines to help pupil cope with or cure a wide
range of physiological problems.
