JURY PANEL<br />

BRIGITTE BOUCHER is an artist and writer interested<br />

in pers<strong>on</strong>al identity, self-expressi<strong>on</strong>, natural history, and <strong>the</strong><br />

envir<strong>on</strong>ment. After growing up throughout <strong>the</strong> Great Lakes regi<strong>on</strong>,<br />

she attended Lawrence University in Applet<strong>on</strong>, WI, where she<br />

received a BA in studio art and English. She currently works as a<br />

copywriter for <strong>on</strong>line art retailer <str<strong>on</strong>g>Art</str<strong>on</strong>g>ful Home. She is involved with<br />

Atwood Atelier art studio and shows her pastel work locally. She<br />

lives in Stought<strong>on</strong>, WI with her husband and stepdaughter, where<br />

she also enjoys gardening, kayaking, and playing <strong>the</strong> mandolin. Find<br />

DENIS DALE is a serigraphic printmaker, photographer and<br />

digital artist who has exhibited widely since <strong>the</strong> 1970’s. Dale’s<br />

artistic career extended from fine art printmaking to an MFA<br />

degree in new media arts from <strong>the</strong> University of Wisc<strong>on</strong>sin-<br />

Madis<strong>on</strong>. Greatly expanding his work as an artist, photographer<br />

and graphic designer, he <strong>the</strong>n served as a digital arts educator for<br />

27 years at <strong>the</strong> University of Wisc<strong>on</strong>sin-Whitewater and is now an<br />

Emeritus Faculty. At Whitewater, Dale blended artistic ideati<strong>on</strong> and<br />

producti<strong>on</strong> practices with targeted c<strong>on</strong>temporary applied design<br />

studies through research and <strong>the</strong> development of new courses of<br />

study. He has held private art director positi<strong>on</strong>s in <strong>the</strong> advertising<br />

industry, served as senior artist and illustrator for public creative<br />

agencies, and now enjoys working independently as an artist.<br />

KAY RASHKA is a scientist by day at a Wisc<strong>on</strong>sin-based biotech<br />

company and a silversmith and jewelry art metals instructor by<br />

night. She teaches jewelry project workshops throughout <strong>the</strong> state<br />

and recently authored an introductory jewelry metals technique<br />

book. Always <strong>on</strong>e to keep busy, Rashka can be found in her studio<br />

or gardens trying to keep with her mantra to create something<br />

daily. Kay’s jewelry is available at <strong>the</strong> Madis<strong>on</strong> Museum of<br />

C<strong>on</strong>temporary <str<strong>on</strong>g>Art</str<strong>on</strong>g> Museum store.<br />

ANN RUTECKI is an oil painter living in Madis<strong>on</strong>, Wisc<strong>on</strong>sin.<br />

Ann cannot remember a time in her life when she was not drawing,<br />

painting, sculpting or working with clay. In college, she fit art classes<br />

into her nursing school curriculum. She has c<strong>on</strong>tinued her art<br />

educati<strong>on</strong> with classes at MATC and Edgewood as well as private<br />

workshops in <strong>the</strong> area. Rutecki’s paintings have been featured in<br />

<strong>the</strong> cultural arts calendar of Dane county. She is encouraged and<br />

supported in her art by her husband, Paul, and <strong>the</strong>ir three daughters.<br />
