the inaugural SOLO Awards, beating competition from

100 nominated hotels.

This year we have gained the Payment Card Industry Data

Security Standard (PCI DSS). Set up to ensure companies who

work with credit cards do so securely, the standard focuses on the

credit card transaction process and is administered and managed

by an independent body of major payment cards, including

Visa, MasterCard and American Express.

Kimberley Graham, Operations Director at Infotel Solutions, said:

"Following PCI security standards is good business and one of our

objectives this year was to gain the standard of PCI compliant.

It was important for us to be able to offer this extra level of reassurance

for our clients who put their trust in our services, whether that's

only encourage more guests and delegates through their doors."

falls on Margaret Coffey,

Director of Sales at the

Holiday Inn Bristol Filton.

How long have your worked at

the hotel and what does your

role involve?

I've been here since January 2015

and I'm responsible for proactively

driving and supporting strategic

sales activities to hit our revenue

budgets. I work with colleagues

in our wider sales teams, account

managers and other stakeholders

to encourage local business

opportunities including banqueting

and charity fund-raising events.

What's the most rewarding

aspect of your role?

Satisfied customers! Whether that's

a leisure guest, a corporate client or

an event planner; their satisfaction

is key.

Can you tell us about some

of the team-building activities

available?

We have 11 acres of grounds as well

as our Business Centre so we can

organise events both in and outside.

We work with ACF Hospitality to tailor

packages for organiser's needs.

Connections is a great multi-team

activity to build a railway around an

island. The challenge is to construct

the railway 10cms off the ground

because the island's at sea level.

Each team is allocated a section

to build and given different roles

to play!

What's the most popular

team-building activity?

Connections is proving popular at

the moment. We can hold it in or

outside, it can be adapted to all

group sizes and its really relevant

to today's business world where

communication and project

management are key.

Segways continue to be popular

with companies looking for a

more relaxed activity.

With tight budgets, the buyers needs

to negotiate and the marketers need

to be creative and persuasive!

One Tribe brings teams together with

a collective goal. Divided into tribes,

each one needs to communicate and

work together to complete a series

of short challenges to find gems.

These can then be exchanged at

the Trading Post for materials or

information needed to build a

giant pyramid!

Pit Stops is for teams to plan,

budget and build a non-motorised

speed machine! With a racing

budget set, teams visit the garage

for parts and plan their design,

sticking to Health and Safety

regulations and the rules and

regulations of the Racing Board!
