One of the best parts about a budding industry like the marijuana industry is the personalities that emerge. For more than a year in these pages, we’ve worked hard to bring you the latest information, history, how-to methods, and products surrounding cannabis. In this issue, we’re focusing a little more on people, including Jim McAlpine, founder of the 420 Games and Power Plant Fitness. He graces our cover after working with San Francisco-based photographer Mark Rutherford.

Anyway, in the meantime, there’s some great reading in this issue, we’ve got a great mix of stories that we know you’ll enjoy reading (and looking at). And so if you can, do try to read it on a tablet at least, but preferably on a big screen (yeah, with retina display) as the images truly deserve it.
Yep, it’s a big issue. But no time to talk, we’ve got yet another issue to prepare right now – so stand by for that one, too.
Happy reading and best wishes for the festive season.
Every month is a great pleasure to bring you a new edition of Ethnicities Magazine, in which you can find valuable information for you on different topics. Our main goal is to bring you the life of wonderful Afro-descendants that are making a difference in our society and are worthy of admiration and to follow.
This August, we bring you two very interesting interviews, firstly our cover interview, which we did to Natalie Harris, singer, actress and TV Host in the TV Show TU MAÑANA of Telemetro (MEDCOM), know more about her beginnings, what she likes, her fights and the message of life she has for you.
We did the second interview to Iranovy Grenald, better known in the world of Arabian dance as Aisha. She is a young afro-descendant who has spent years in the world of belly dancing and other arts that are related to it.
Also, look for beauty tips by Samara Wallace-Noyola, and we are very pleased and grateful for the contribution we bring this month for you by our two new columnists, Ana Lucía Mosquera, who will keep us connected with the Afro-Peruvian movement every month and Nicole L. Loré a young journalist who seeks to promote her wonderful talent in this branch.
And do not forget to look for our new segment, FASHION TRENDS, where we bring what's chic and where you can find it in our local market.
* 2018 GAS GAS – the Spanish team is back with an all-new enduro – so, is it any good?
* Boob – a trail ride in Portugal takes an unexpected turn!
* High or low? – Chris Evans tells of his new life with a new love…
* Trial and error – RUST’s efforts to restore a classic trials bike continue in a bumpy fashion
Welcome to our latest issue. You might notice there’s something of a redesign going on (then again, you might not), but as ever it’s all about us working hard to deliver to you the best, most entertaining package we can.
That’s pretty much the story at Gas Gas in 2017, too, recreating a bike for today that’s been something of a classic in the past. Only the market place in 2017 is super-fierce, can the new Gasser cut it? You’ll have to read our report to find out.
Plus we have some great supporting reads – a cool trail ride through southern Portugal; Chris Evans continues to adapt to Japanese engineering; while JB clearly struggles with the concept of engineering full-stop.
It’s a pretty issue, for sure. Enjoy the reading – and your riding! Feedback is always appreciated so feel free to send us a message anytime you feel the urge…
We trust you’ll enjoy it!

And has the drought changed citizens’ attitudes towards water? Read the cover story on page 4.

Three years into Agenda 2030, it’s still not clear how to mobilize sufficient resources to achieve the goal of sustainable water and sanitation for all. On page 8, this issue’s Analysis looks at how the private sector can help fill the financing gaps.
Religious beliefs influence many people in their daily decisions around water. Yet, they are rarely at the core of our discussions on water. How come and which role do faith organizations play? Read more on page 13.

I want to specially thank our writers that every month send us interesting topics to share with Ethnicities Magazine readership.
Please enjoy it and share with your family and friends.
RUST magazine: Rust#17
Yep, Team USA won, but RUST digs deeper into the real stories that made ISDE 2016…
Instant salvation? Can Rick Kemp atone for a lifetime of misdemeanours by trail riding the Pilgrims’ Way in just one day?
Is the true adventure bike a single-cylinder lightweight super-enduro? CCM think so, but can the GP450 really cut the mustard? From France to Chile, we travel the globe to find out!
Write less, said the editor (me!). That’s really not happening; at 128 pages our latest issue tops our last again. It’s all for your benefit though, and besides, look where dumbing-down gets us – Brexit and Clinton-Trump! Let’s engage our brains, our imagination – and our inspiration for that matter. This issue we’re even embracing medieval history, you don’t get that in many moto-publications.
Anyway, this is also our first birthday – one year, 24 issues. It’s quite a pace, we’re not exactly flat out, or WFO as you might say, but pushing-on certainly. And with each issue our audience is expanding (read the editorial for more on that) so if you’re a new subscriber, welcome!
Anyway, gotta run, there’s a plane to catch and a big adventure ride waiting. Should be epic…
Enjoy your riding, too – and reading!
