the Group races won by horses born and 

raised on the Chatswood Hills; a record 

that is second to none and one that we are 

extremely proud. 

This season represents some exciting 

additions to our stallion and personnel 

ranks. Following on from standing Invincible 

Spirit for four seasons (producing I Am 

Invincible) we are thrilled to be standing 

one of his best performed and rated sons, 

AJAYA in conjunction with the iconic 

Rathbarry Stud in Ireland. The other stallion 

addition is ALL AMERICAN, providing a rare 

opportunity of breeding to a proven Group 1 

winning sire. 

Another important and valuable addition to 

our team is new Stud Manager Keri Gore 

who joins us with an unparalleled CV. Keri 

has spent over 17 seasons at Sir Patrick 

Hogan’s Cambridge and several seasons 

at Waikato Stud. 

Reward For Effort goes from strength to 

strength siring four (4) Stakes Winners in 

the 2016/17 Season with more 2YO & 3YO 

winners than any Victorian stallion. With an 

average of attracting 182 high quality mares 

per season, there’s safety in numbers and 

some exciting times ahead. 

I believe Anacheeva is ‘the sleeper’ among 

Victorian stallion ranks. Winner of the 

sire making Caulfield Guineas, he is by 

champion sire Anabaa, the most successful 

shuttle stallion to stand in Australia aside 

from Danehill. He has now sired exciting 

Group 3 Winner and multiple Group 1 

placed filly ANA ROYALE with plenty 

more to follow. 

We remain a family operated business with

Marcus (digital marketing and brochure) 

working alongside me.

Chatswood is ideally situated in 

“The Horse Capital Of Victoria”. 

It is perfect horse country, 

comprising 1000 acres of prime 

pastures on the fertile banks of the 

Goulburn River. 

This gently rolling, mineral-rich land 

nestled in the foothills of the Great 

Dividing Range provides a perfect 

natural environment in which to 

rear sound athletic racehorses. 

Our primary focus is to provide 

the highest standard of care to the 

broodmares and progeny our clients 

entrust to us. We are dedicated to 

the thoroughbred industry, with a 

longevity and commitment to both 

the horses we care for and the 

clients we serve.

horse people, with outstanding

the Champion Sire to Australia 

back in 2003, producing I Am 

Invincible. Invincible Spirit’s 

precocious son, AJAYA will 

be shuttling from Ireland’s 

renowned Rathbarry Stud to 

Chatswood Stud for 2017.

From his first crop, Anacheeva sired star 3YO of the 

Autumn, Ana Royale. The Stuart Webb trained filly 

ran a huge race for third in the Group 1 Australasian 

Oaks. Two weeks later, Ana Royale was victorious 

in the $175,000 Group 3 SA Fillies Classic (2500m) 

at Morphettville, coming from “a mile back”. Ana 

Royale also lined up against the boys in the Group 1 

Queensland Derby. Once again she stormed home 

to claim another Group 1 placing. 

Ana Royale’s title as Anacheeva’s first Stakes 

Winner couldn’t be more fitting. She is bred/raced by 

Geoff Guest and Jill Kewish from Rockmount who 

also raced Anacheeva to Group 1 glory, carrying the 

same jockey silks.
