What is the secret to achieving such detail in your tattoos? Dedication and focus. Also, having a drawing tablet
for preparing my designs helps a lot.
Where is the most difficult place for you to tattoo someone?
Personally I find the throat because of the awkward position or armpit because of the skin

Did you do any of them yourself? Yes.
Do your friends let you tatt them up for practice?
I tattoo my friends all the time. Especially if i have a portfolio piece im looking to do they are the first to know.
How long have you been a tattoo artist?
6 years professionally tattooing
Do you find that there are any challenges that you face
being a female artist? Like, do some think that you
aren’t good because you’re a girl?
I do think it’s difficult being a female. I think we get
walked over and not taken seriously. Another thing is
that everybody thinks its easier to be a female in this
industry because we have tits, but it’s not the case. I
care more about how my tattoos look, not how i look.
Do guy tattoo artist hate on you?
Yup. Lol... there are a few male artists that do not like
me. I believe they are insecure, but I also know that do

are very negative people and have alot of issues with
other artists. Even more so I have alot of issues with
other female artists. Some, who don’t even know me
or weve never met. You would think we would stick
together because there are so few female artists. All in
all, I try to stay away from any negative artists.
Do you remember the first tattoo that you ever done?
My first tattoo was on my buddy, Asian... It was an evil
tribal jester clown, at my buddy’s tattoo party.
How would you describe your tattooing style?
I really like to mix it up and be diverse I don’t want to
stick to one style. Realism, neo traditional, trash polka,
water color, etc. I respect all styles of tattooing.

Lol...I think we’ve all been drunk getting a tattoo.
What is the most bizarre tattoo you have ever put on someone?
Eyes on the tip of a penis

Hey! My name is Demii-Leigh, I'm an alternative
model from Manchester, UK.
Which of your tattoos has the most meaning?
Probably one of my most recent, the camera on my
thigh as it represents my modelling career and being
behind the camera so often!
What was your first tattoo?
I sat my first 3 hours as the start of my sleeve with a
day of the dead girl accompanied by a rose.
How many tattoos do you have?
Oh, it's impossible to count them up as they all
intertwine with one another! Haha but I bet I'm
pushing around 100 hours now.
Which tattoo hurt the most?
Ok it's a toss-up between chest, stomach and elbows!
Let me just say I'm glad these areas are done
now...wow.
What is your favorite tattoo?
I love my ramskull on my stomach, this is probably
my favourite.

What inspired you to turn your body into a canvas of beautiful art?
I knew I wanted lots of tattoos, but I was sensible and waited a couple years to make sure it was still
what I wanted.... tattoos are permanent you know haha. Then once I started I couldn’t seem to stop.
The more I am tattooed, the more I feel like me.
Who is your favorite tattoo artist?
Has to be my own, Mike Dowdall from Inkin Studio in Oldham, UK.
Do you attend any tattoo conventions?
Strangely no! Not upto now, but I do have a few planned this year.
Any advice for aspiring alternative / tattoo models?
Yes, be yourself! Do not compare your work to others, be original, be unique and never give up on
your dreams.

How long have you been a tattoo artist?
I've been a professional tattoo artist for 6 years now.
Do you remember the first tattoo that you ever done?
The very first tattoo I ever created was for a close friend whose mother had recently passed. A memorial
piece that consisted of a rose and her name.
How would you describe your tattooing style?
In regards to my style I would like to say I play close attention to detail as I focus on realism as
much as possible.
What is the secret to achieving such detail in your tattoos?
Not limiting myself mentally. If I can image it you can produce it.
Where is the most difficult place for you to tattoo someone?
Anyplace where the body bends. And the throat.
How may tattoos do you currently have?
Eleven on my forearm. Then I lost count after that.
Did you do any of them yourself?
I did several of the tattoos on my legs when I first started my tattoo journey.
Do your friends let you tattoo them up for practice?
My friends were very supportive. I wouldn't be were I'm artistically today if it weren't for them..
What is the most bizarre tattoo you have ever put on someone?
I been blessed with the opportunity to tattoo some really unique food tattoos. I've had the pleasure
of of tattooing both a cheeseburger anda box of fries, a drumstick , jalapeno pepper, pretzel,

Words of advice for anyone that wants
to become a tattoo artist?
It's not a career you can take on parttime
if you plan to excel .I think that's
a common misconception with newcomers.
You have to be passionate and
wiling to dedicate the time needed to
both learn and grow.

I once had a client so frightened of

Please introduce yourself and tell the readers where you
are from.
My name is Nikki Nichole and I'm from a tiny little
town called Yuma, Arizona. I travel very often for my
line of work (modeling and acting).
Which of your tattoos has the most meaning?
The boxers prayer on my left thigh is the prayer I said
before every fight when I did competitive boxing. It was
a huge passion of mine that changed my life completely.
What was your first tattoo?
"Daddy's Girl" on my right foot was my very first tattoo.
I was 15-years-old and it was the only thing my father
allowed me to get.
How many tattoos do you have?
Counting my tattoos is nearly impossible at this point,
but I do know that I have over 100 hours of tattoos on
me.
Which tattoo hurt the most?
There's a butterfly on my right butt cheek and I almost
tapped out, because of how painful it was. I thought it
wouldn't be so bad cuz it's a meaty area but I was wrong.
What is your favorite tattoo?
It's so hard to pick just one favorite tattoo, but I must
say it's the camera on my left forearm. I do photography
amongst other things.
What inspired you to turn your body into a canvas of
beautiful art?
I've always wanted tattoos as I was growing up. A few of
my family members have them and I thought they were
so cool. My grandfather pretty much raised me and
he means the world to me. He's was an art teacher for
decades and one of his favorite things to paint is watercolor.
So that's where my watercolor theme came from.
Who is your favorite tattoo artist?
Billy Greenway from Club Tattoo in Las Vegas, Nevada.
He's absolutely phenomenal!
Do you attend any tattoo conventions?
Attending tattoo conventions is one of my many jobs as
a tattoo model. I have such a blast meeting a bunch of
my fans and getting to see artists in action.

Where do you get your ideas for photoshoots?
Honestly, normally the photographers come up with the themes.
What is your favorite thing to do when you have down time?
A beautiful little 6-year-old takes up all my down time. I don't mind it one bit though, because my daughter
has such a silly and fun personally like me.
What is the sexiest article of clothing in your closet?
I have this crazy sexy black leather body suit, if that's what you're into. Haha.
What is the best advice you were ever given?
Only trust people with big butts. They can not lie.
Any advice for aspiring alternative / tattoo models?
Have thick skin. No matter who you are, there will always be haters. So just don't pay any attention to them.
Be yourself and don't be afraid to show your silly side.

Musically how would you describe your style?
I'm a updated version of 90’s hip hop.
Who are some of your musical influences?
My pops, my uncle Jayquan, cousins, Jay Z, DMX, AZ,
Nas, Big L, Method Man & the list goes on.
What does Capo Diablo plan to do within the entertainment
industry?
Bring back lyrical context, substance & just that feel
good hiphop.
If you had a wish list of MC’s to work with, who would
be your top 5… in order?

I know that you have released 2 earlier mixtapes. Can
you tell us about them?
Yeah, “I'm My Own Fan”, was my first mixtape I
dropped. Had a few interludes in it & its basically
about not caring what the next person says about me
as far as I'm a whack rapper. I got an old school flow.
It don't fit with the time so I snapped on every beat
& throughout the tape you gonna hear a line Jadakiss
said, “as long as I know I'm nice fuck it, I'm my own
fan”.
My second mixtape is called, “Show Me The Exit”. It’s
about everyday life. About feeling trapped & feeling
like it's no way around this crappy life. So, “Show Me
The Exit”... I need to escape.
With the new single due out any day. Can you speak
on it and let us know when the new mixtape will be
dropping?
I don't have the exact date but I’m soon dropping my
new single, “I’ma Ball”, definitely this year. I got my
cousin Kali Starz ft. on the hook. He’s singing on it. It's
a dope track.
Any collabos on it you wanna mention?
Yeah, definitely you will be hearing some of the Push-
Money family. S/O to them.
What direction do you see rap music going in the next
2-5 years?
Back to raw lyrical content, skills, more narrative type

Whatever it is we’re coversing, your gonna think your
watching a movie. Like when Nas dropped, “I Gave
You Power” and “Rewind”. That was hip hop at its best.
Lyrically, you go hard. Great metaphors and punchlines.
Why, when we are in a place where that seems to
be the least important thing for rappers to do?
Well although I'm a millineum born child, I didn't
grow up adapting to today's music. I was always in the
mix of the 90’s and early 00’s hip hop era. I use to listen
to my pops and uncle and Biggie, Jay Z, and Busta.
Mainly all of the 90’s rappers. I grew to love it alot, so I
guess I'm a product of that era. You can say I'm a new
school artist with an old school soul.
How do you feel about the new artist, mumble rappers
and will it be around in the future?
Personally I'm not into it, but I'm not gonna knock
them for there hustle if it's putting food on the table
good for them, but also it shouldn't be considered hip
hop this music needs its own genre. And those artist
need to start respecting the legends in this game they
set stage for us to carry the torch.
What is the next thing on the table for Capo Diablo?
Well I would like to become a business tycoon and also
do television and movies, you know i got a little taste
of that and if you seen my promo videos you can tell I
love the camera.
If you could work with any artist in their prime, just 1,
dead or alive who would it be?
Michael Jackson.
From where do you draw your inspiration to create
music?
I draw it from whats my day is like, if I'm in bad mood
or say if someone disrespect me I'm gonna go ham on
my lyrics and strike hard, same thing if I'm in a good
mood then I'm gonna write some feel good music, I
create from my emotions and my surroundings.

My chest tattoo has the most
meaning for sure, I had this done
at an important time in my life.
What was your first tattoo?
My first tattoo was 3 hearts on my
left hip, I had them done when I
was much younger and have since
covered them with something
else, however you may spot them
on some of my older images.
How many tattoos do you have?
I have loads! My chest done, a
sleeve, tattoos on both legs, my
fingers & hands.. too many to
count.
Which tattoo hurt the most?
I think my hand and foot tattoos
hurt the most, just pure bone underneath
no fat, really really hurt!!

My favourite is my finger tattoos

My advice to aspiring models would be don't let anybody tell you that you can't, because if you want it hard
enough and work hard enough you will! Stay determined

from ?

Right now I’m initially an underground artist. Not very
well known in the scene of Indian hip hop, but I’m sure
I can prove myself. Never let down my listeners.
I still don’t have a big fan base made yet, but I’m finding
some opportunities to attract the best audiences
from everywhere who can understand my thoughts.
Musically how would you describe your rap style?
I describe my rap style in frustration and willingly I
represent street life of Indian culture.
I didn’t write to impress anyone, I write to express my
thoughts that others can’t.
Who are some of your musical influences?
1st is Tupac Shakur, Michael Jackson, Justin Bieber,
Chris brown.
How were you introduced to hip hop?
In frustration, I was just checking the new released
tracks on YouTube to get me in a good mood. Suddenly
I saw a link of old school type of beats. While listening
I spit some of my own bars about the daily life…
conscious. And I was surprised that I found a way to
express myself through hip hop.
What made you want to become a hip-hop artist?
I’ve never thought that I wanted to be a hip hop artist
and my society to…
My dad left this world by an accident, my moms raised
me until I was 12 years old. She had a heart attack.
The last day of my mother was 26/9/2009. And her
last words I remember, she says to me, “be big guy and
make me proud that I’m your mother”. That makes me
to be and do something with my passion.
How strong is the rap / hip hop influence in Mumbai?
Here in Mumbai there are many talented artists on the
scene but few don’t have proper ways to express themselves
and they didn’t stick at 1 thing. They give up
easily and if they don’t understand someone’s thoughts
they start to criticize.
If you had a wish list of artist to work with, who would
be your top 5?
Drake, Kendrik, Justin , Bohemia, Honey Singh
Any other artists that you are working with that you
want to mention?
Right now I’m not working with anyone on my tracks
but these artist are my favorite’s in the underground
scene and all are my family: M. Zhe and his crew,
Gawky records from Saudi Arabia, Maze 022, Emcee
Hasnain, are from my city, Star Hammy from Leeds,
UK. As soon as possible and I’ll do a collab with these
artists.
What do you want to accomplish as a rapper / hip-hop
artist?
To make my parents proud, my family name and my
country where I come from.

How long have you been a tattoo artist?
ALMOST 7 YEARS.
Do you remember the first tattoo that you ever done?
A SMALL BUTTERFLY CANCER RIBBON.
How would you describe your tattooing style?
BLACK AND GREY PHOTO REALIASM AND POR-
TRAITS. COLOURFILTER.
What is the secret to achieving such detail in your
tattoos?
MUSIC. REDBULL. THE DRIVE TO GET BETTER.
Where is the most difficult place for you to tattoo
someone?
NECKS AND KNEE CAPS. THEY BOTH HURT
AND NO ONE SITS GOOD FOR THEM.
How may tattoos do you currently have?
EVERYTHING I HAVE IS LARGE AND TOUCH-
ING. YOU COULD SAY ITS ALL GOING TO
BECOME ONE BIG MASTER CANVAS. I HAVE
ABOUT 250 HOURS UNDER THE NEEDLE.
Did you do any of them yourself?
IVE TOUCH SMALL STUFF UP HERE AND THERE
BUT I ENJOY COLLECTING TATTOOS FROM
FRIENDS AND TALENTED ARTISTS.
Do your friends let you tatt them up for practice?
NOT SO MUCH FOR PRACTICE BUT THERE IS
ALWAYS PEOPLE OPEN TO ME JUST DOING
WHAT I WANT OR EXPERIMENTING. CLIENTS
ARE REALLY OPEN AND JUST STOKED FOR
COOL PIECES NOW.
Should drunk people get inked?
NO. 1. WHEN IT CATCHES UP THEY WILL BLEED.
2. DRUNK PEOPLE PROBABLY DONT SIT GOOD.
3. I DONT WANNA DEAL WITH THEM. 4. THERES
ALWAYS JUST POOR CHOICES THEY WILL RE-
GRET LATER. I DONT NEED THAT CLIENTELE
AND I’M GLAD IT’S NOT AN ISSUE.
What tattoo artists, if any, do you draw inspiration
from?
WITH SO MANY AMAZING ARTIST AND SO
MANY AVENUES IT’S HARD TO PIN POINT IT.
THERES ALOT OF EPIC ARTISTS. I SEE SO MUCH
IMSPIRING WORK AND SADLY I COULDNT TELL
YOU MOST OF THERE NAMES.
What’s the secret to being a great tattoo artist?
PUT IN THE WORK. PLAIN AND SIMPLE.
Who is your favorite tattoo artist?
BOB TYRRELL. PAUL ACHOR. YOUGI BARETTE.
TIMMY B. ALL VERY DIFFERENT ARTISTS BUT
SOME OF MY FAVORITES.
For a first timer, where should they not get a tattoo if
they do not like a lot of pain?
PAIN IS TEMPORARY. I ALWAYS TRY TO TELL MY
CLIENTS TO NOT STESS ABOUT THE PAIN OR
THINK ABOUT IT TO MUCH AND JUST GET THE
TATTOO WHERE THEY SEE IT AND WANT IT
MOST. AS FOR EASY... OUTSIDE UP YOUR UPPER
ARM.
Words of advice for anyone that wants to become a
tattoo artist?
DONT UNLESS IT’S YOUR HONEST DREAM AND
YOU WILL DO ANYTHING FOR IT. THERE ARE
TO MANY ARTISTS ALREADY. THE INDUSTRY
DOESNT NEED MORE PEOPLE THAT JUST WANT
A KICK ASS JOB. IF YOUR 100% THEN FIND A
GREAT SHOP AND DO A REAL APPRENTICESHIP.
LEARN LEARN LEARN. ARTISTS ARE CRAZY
GOOD NOW AND YOU WILL NEED TO PUT THE
WORK IN.
