November. The annual meeting is the November meeting. All meetings are held at Hardin
Memorial Hospital in the third floor conference room. For those unable to attend the
meetings, the chapter started offering web-conferencing in May, 2017.
During this past year, an e-repository archive for the chapter minutes and other Heartland
related items has been established, as well as an electronic newsletter called “The Pulse.”
The chapter leadership team is actively participating in the monthly leadership conference
calls and this information is shared with members during the quarterly meetings.
The chapter has plans to hold two continuing education offerings at Hardin Memorial
Hospital in the fall. One program is an update on Health Policy and Nursing Advocacy
by Sheila Schuster and the second program is on Human Trafficking. Another activity the
chapter will pursue is sponsoring a spring NCLEX Trivia challenge for nursing students.
