The showroom is deceiving
from the outside. An outdoor observer
has no idea how big this
place is. When one enters, he or
she is greeted by a friendly staff
who takes the customer on a tour
of the 13,000-square-foot facility.
Customers can experience two
fully automated smart homes, a
lighting studio, several gourmet
kitchens and audio demonstration
rooms, and five spectacular
home theaters. Each theater has
a different theme, from the futuristic
Galaxy, to the art deco Paradise,
to the gentlemen’s clubinspired
Majestic.
The grand finale is a two-story
Chicago Theater replica, complete
with a balcony. Each is exquisitely
crafted with high-quality
material,s like stone columns,
acoustic treatment, custom glass
and metalwork. There are lighting
options everywhere, and
each ceiling is unique — one has
a beautiful fiber optic starfield.
It’s like a Disneyland for adults.
The second floor has a furniture
showroom with more than
50 theater chairs from which to
choose, plus several sectionals
and credenzas. Then, tour the offices,
where the CAD designers
work on plans for several basements
and their 410th theater.

It does not stop there. Kole
Digital started 18 years ago out
of Rob’s own home in Homer
Glen, and they were the first in
the area to specialize in smart
homes that feature lighting control,
climate, motorized window

Today, they offer every conceivable
home control product.
From an iPad, customers can
view cameras, unlock a door,
arm a security system, select
a Pandora station and control
the volume in each room of the
house. They even have an outdoor
kitchen display, complete
with an all-weather TV, planter
and rock speakers.
The space is always changing.
In the last few months, a new
interactive space was added, so
customers can audition the various
control systems, like Crestron,
Vantage, Control 4 and RTI.

can get a sneak behind the scenes
