On Our Way to Lisbon The Billy Joel Songbook performed by Elio Pace and his band The Theatre Royal’s Junior Guild of Players present Oliver! and take audiences on a wild adventure through Victorian England. Saturday 16th Sept - 2.30pm matinee only Isosceles Theatre Company return to the Theatre Royal with their tale of how, in 1967, Glasgow Celtic became the first British Team to win the European Cup with a victory over Inter-Milan. Two fans take a nostalgic look back at how the Bhoys in Green and White triumphed. The fantastic Elio Pace and his six-piece band bring The Billy Joel Songbook to the Theatre Royal. Playing Billy Joel’s hits and crowd favourites, this is sure to be an electrifying night out. Brian May said ‘Elio rocks!’ - need we say more?

Fray is described as ‘perhaps the most inspired, certainly the most original Bach player of his generation.’ 12th August 7.30pm Emma Johnson (clarinet) and John Lenehan (piano) Emma Johnson is one of the UK’s biggest selling classical artists and , together with John Lenehan, praised for his ‘great flair and virtuosity’ they bring Brahms, Rossini and Poulenc to the Theatre Royal, concluding with Bernstein’s Scenes from West Side Story. 15th August 7.30pm Soraya Mafi (soprano) and Simon Lepper (piano) Soraya Mafi and Simon Lepper present a diverse programme including Bernstein, Porter, Copland, Barab and Gershwin. 16th August 7.30pm Guy Johnston (cello) and Simon Callaghan (piano) Guy Johnston has been hailed as ‘one of the most exciting British cellists of his generation’ and brings pieces by Rachmaninov, Prokofiev and Scraiabin to life, accompanied by pianist Simon Callaghan. 17th August 7.30pm Opera Bohemia Opera Bohemia return to Dumfries with Bizet’s masterpiece The Pearl Fishers, a three-act opera first performed in 1863. A star-studded cast is led by Monica McGhee and includes Welsh tenor Thomas Kinch as Nadir. 18th August 7.30pm Edinburgh Quartet One of Britain’s foremost chamber ensembles, the Edinburgh Quartet will delight audiences with Haydn, Tippett and Beethoven.
