fellow travel mates along your journey today with a
welcome dinner. Overnight (2) Onalaska, WI.
DAY 2 | Cranberry Bog Tour/Cranberry Discovery
Center/Cheese Outlet/Chef’s Dinner (B, LL, D)
Get ready for cranberry day! Visit a family owned
cranberry bog and get a first-hand look at how they
grow and harvest that red little berry that tastes so
good. At the Cranberry Discovery Center learn how
they are developing new ways of growing, harvesting,
and marketing this delicious fruit. Stop at a Wisconsin
cheese outlet for a sample of a “taste of Wisconsin”.
This evening is reserved for a special Chef’s Dinner with
Chef Roderique. He will prepare a gourmet dinner for
our group “Emeril style” and even share his recipes.
DAY 3 | Mississippi River Cruise aboard the
Celebration Belle (B, L, D)
Think Mark Twain today! Board the paddle-wheeler
Celebration Belle for a six-hour leisurely cruise on
the mighty Mississippi from Prairie du Chien, WI to
Dubuque, IA. The ship’s captain will narrate the history
and navigation as you journey south. You’ll enjoy two
delicious meals on board including a prime rib dinner.
Enjoy entertainment on board or you can just sit back,
relax and enjoy the beautiful fall colors on the river.
Overnight Dubuque, IA.
DAY 4 | New Melleray Abbey/Lunch at Galleria de
Paco (B, L)
This morning’s very interesting stop is at the New
Melleray Abbey where 30 monks live, work, and pray
as a way of life. Wait until you learn about the product
they produce. Next, step into “Little Italy” when you
marvel at the paintings of the Sistine Chapel created
by Polish artist Paco with spray paint. You won’t
believe it! Enjoy lunch at this unique restaurant. Then,
it’s time to head home after a relaxing and delightful
cruise on the Mississippi River.
